Integrated gear pump in remote mounted hydraulic control unit
A hydraulic control unit comprises a housing, an accumulator, a gear pump assembly, and a motor. The housing comprises an accumulator compartment, a gear pump compartment, and a flow path section connecting the gear pump compartment and the accumulator compartment, the flow path section comprising at least a supply path and a pressurizing path. The accumulator in the accumulator compartment comprises a movable piston dividing the accumulator compartment into a high pressure reservoir and a low pressure reservoir. A gear pump assembly is in the gear pump compartment. The gear pump assembly is configured to draw return fluid from the low pressure reservoir via the supply path and to pump pressurized fluid through the pressurizing path to accumulate in the high pressure reservoir. A motor assembly is connected to the gear pump compartment of the housing and is configured to power the gear pump assembly.

A vehicle drive device includes: a brake that is provided with a plurality of friction plates, a first piston and a second piston, and a first piston hydraulic chamber and a second piston hydraulic chamber, and selectively fixes the third rotating element to a fixing member; a hydraulic control circuit that controls supply of the hydraulic pressure to the first piston hydraulic chamber and the second piston hydraulic chamber; and a control device. The control device controls the hydraulic control circuit such that the hydraulic pressure is supplied to the first piston hydraulic chamber and the second piston hydraulic chamber when the first traveling mode is set, and controls the hydraulic control circuit such that the hydraulic pressure is supplied only to one of the first piston hydraulic chamber and the second piston hydraulic chamber when the second traveling mode is set.

A vehicle drive device includes: a brake that is provided with a plurality of friction plates, a first piston and a second piston, and a first piston hydraulic chamber and a second piston hydraulic chamber, and selectively fixes the third rotating element to a fixing member; a hydraulic control circuit that controls supply of the hydraulic pressure to the first piston hydraulic chamber and the second piston hydraulic chamber; and a control device. The control device controls the hydraulic control circuit such that the hydraulic pressure is supplied to the first piston hydraulic chamber and the second piston hydraulic chamber when the first traveling mode is set, and controls the hydraulic control circuit such that the hydraulic pressure is supplied only to one of the first piston hydraulic chamber and the second piston hydraulic chamber when the second traveling mode is set.

A differential case (23) is therein provided with a plurality of rotating discs (38) that are spline-coupled to an outer peripheral side of aright side gear (35), and a plurality of non-rotating discs (39) that are respectively arranged between the respective rotating discs (38) and are non-rotatable relative to the differential case (23) and are movable in a left-right direction. A pressure ring (43) that presses the non-rotating discs (39) toward the rotating discs (38) is disposed between a right retainer (41) positioned in the right side gear (35)-side and the non-rotating disc (39). The right retainer (41) is therein provided with a piston accommodating part (41D) in a position facing the pressure ring (43) in the left-right direction. The piston accommodating part (41D) is therein provided with a piston (46) that is displaced by hydraulic pressure to press the non-rotating discs (39) against the rotating discs (38) through the pressure ring (43).
Vehicle axle device
A differential case (23) is therein provided with a plurality of rotating discs (38) that are spline-coupled to an outer peripheral side of aright side gear (35), and a plurality of non-rotating discs (39) that are respectively arranged between the respective rotating discs (38) and are non-rotatable relative to the differential case (23) and are movable in a left-right direction. Hydraulic control unit having fill port
A hydraulic control unit that delivers hydraulic fluid to a limited slip differential includes a hydraulic control unit housing, a vent hole and first and second passageways. The hydraulic control unit housing has an accumulator housing portion that houses a biasing assembly and a piston. The accumulator housing portion forms an accumulator chamber with the piston. The vent hole is defined in the hydraulic control unit housing. The first passageway is defined in the hydraulic control unit housing. The second passageway is defined in the hydraulic control unit housing that intersects the vent hole and is oriented at a different angle than the first passageway. The vent hole is dual purpose permitting hydraulic fluid entry into the accumulator chamber through the second passageway while air is permitted to escape the hydraulic control unit housing through the vent hole.

Locking angle gear box
A locking angle gear box is provided. The locking angle gear box includes a torque transfer assembly, a ring gear, at least one connection drive assembly and an actuator. The torque transfer assembly is configured to communicate torque between the torque transfer assembly and a pair of outputs to halfshafts. The ring gear is rotationally supported on the torque transfer assembly. The ring gear is configured to transfer torque between at least a portion of a driveline and the torque transfer assembly. The at least one connection drive assembly is configured to selectively lock rotation of the torque transfer assembly with the rotation of the ring gear to selectively couple torque between the torque transfer assembly and the ring gear. The actuator is in communication with the at least one connection drive assembly to selectively manipulate the at least one connection drive assembly.
