Liquid ant bait pack with tear-away tab
11445717 · 2022-09-20 · ·

A liquid ant bait pack having a primary bait well and a plurality of feeding reservoirs for holding liquid bait is provided in which the walls of the feeding reservoirs as well as the primary bait well are sloped to facilitate ant access to the liquid bait held therein while reducing the risk of the ants falling into the bait and drowning. Ant access is further facilitated by dry platform areas positioned between the reservoirs. The inclusion of multiple feeding reservoirs, the bait well and the dry platform areas provides an increased area over which ants can simultaneously access the bait. The entrance to the bait pack is sealed during manufacture and then readily opened by the consumer using a tear-off tab that can removed without the need for any tools.

COMPOSITE MATERIAL INCLUDING A THERMOPLASTIC POLYMER, A PEST FOOD MATERIAL, AND A PESTICIDE

Composite materials that are palatable to a wood-destroying pest species and also pesticidal to the pest species can be used in pest control devices and can be used as wood substitutes for structural components, which are resistant to destruction by wood-destroying pests. The composite materials include a thermoplastic polymer, a food material for the pest and a pesticide. The composite material is formed by mixing a thermoplastic polymer, wood fragments or other cellulosic materials and a quantity of pesticide, and thereafter creating a molten material within a mixer, compounder, extruder or the like. The molten material is extruded or molded to form the desired shape.

Bait station for deploying plural insect baits

An insect bait station, for example an ant bait station, for deploying a toxicant includes a housing with a body portion covered by a cover. The body portion includes first and second reservoirs. Entryways having a converging outer portion and an upright tubular portion provide insect access into the housing. The upright tubular portion extends from the converging outer portion, through a bait in the second reservoir. An entry port is provided in the tubular portion above the bait. A first bait is disposed in the first reservoir and a second bait is disposed in the second reservoir. For example, the first bait may include a protein-based food and a pesticide, and the second bait may include a sugar- or lipid-based food with or without a pesticide.

Crawling insect detection and protection system

A crawling insect detection and protection system includes a curved member for attachment to a surface. The curved member has a coarse textured outer surface and a smooth interior surface, the interior surface includes a grooved upper lip located at a top portion of the curved member and a smooth lower lip located at a bottom portion of the curved member. The width of the grooved upper lip is recessed from the bottom lip to allow a crawling insect to fall into the lower lip portion. The system includes an attachment means which may be an adhesive fastener and/or a mechanical fastener for affixing a mounting surface of the flexible curved member to an attachment surface.

Headboard apparatus for holding a decorative cover and having diatomaceous earth incorporated therein for pest control

An apparatus for holding a decorative cover. The apparatus includes a body having front and rear opposite sides, the front side of the body having a front surface having a perimeter, the rear side of the body having a rear surface, and the body having an outwardly facing lateral surface between the front and rear surfaces; and a first connector on the body, the first connector detachably connectable, continuously adjacent at least a portion of the perimeter of the front surface, to a second connector, complementary to the first connector, on the decorative cover. A furniture apparatus includes at least one substantially thermoplastic body and one or both of diatomaceous earth and a PA1b-related peptide incorporated in one or more of the at least one body.

The present invention relates to termite preferred resource compositions and methods. In embodiments, the present invention is directed to termite preferred resource compositions including materials from a Sabal palm tree material (Sabalpalmetto; Family Arecaceae) and a pesticide toxic to one or more species of termites. In additional embodiment's, the present invention is directed to a method of creating a termite assurance program to limit termite damage to a structure including the steps of providing an initial investigation of termite detection, damage, or activity for a structure; placing a termite station comprising a housing, at least one entry point in the housing allowing for ingress and egress of a termite, and materials from a Sabal palm tree contained within the housing in an area proximate the structure, and inspecting the termite station for live termites or evidence of termite activity after it is placed.

COMPOUNDS, COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR ATTRACTING AND/OR ARRESTING BED BUGS

Disclosed is a composition of volatile and less-volatile pheromone components that can be used alone or in combination with other compounds to attract and/or arrest bed bugs of both sexes and all developmental stages. This blend can be used to bait traps that are effective in capturing bed bugs in infested premises or can be combined with a pesticide that is lethal to bed bugs.

Arthropod prevention footwear mat assembly
