Method And System For Controlling And Communicating The Statuses Of Insect Bait Stations
20230148582 · 2023-05-18 ·

A device for controlling at least one insect bait station (100), in particular for insects harmful to humans, animals and plants, in which the bait station is provided with: at least one container (3, 5) provided with an insect entrance opening, the container containing bait and being at least partially transparent or translucent, a lighting device (10) lighting the inside of the container but located outside same, a telecommunication module (23, 25) and a printed circuit comprising, inter alia, a memory and a processor connected to said telecommunication means. The device comprises an optical sensor essentially opposite the lighting device, and connected to the printed circuit (12), which measures the general opacity caused by the insect(s) in the container, the corresponding value being transmitted for processing and analysis of the status of the bait station.

METHOD FOR FACILITATING DELIVERY OF POISON BAIT TO WASP NEST

An object is to provide a method for facilitating the delivery of a poison bait to a wasp nest and a method for destroying the wasp nest early. As a solution, a method for facilitating the delivery of a poison bait to a nest by a wasp, in which the poison bait has a sugar content (Brix) of 40 or more and less than 83, is provided.

PEST CONTROL INCLUDING COMBINED MATING DISRUPTION AND TRAPPING

A highly effective lure for the attraction of insect species, such as codling moth, is disclosed. The lure optionally includes pear ester kairomone (DA), dimethyl nonatriene, linalool oxide, and acetic acid. This lure is optionally used to reduce populations of female insects in combination with mating disruption to improve the effectiveness of mating disruption. This combination of insect control strategies has been shown to produce unexpected synergistic benefits.

TEXTURIZED INSECTICIDAL FORMULATION

Compositions, formulas, methods of making, mixing and applying insecticide formulations to different surfaces such as but not limited to interior surfaces of ovitraps, on walls and on chips and tiles to produce a texturized surface to allow for better transfer of the insecticidal active ingredients to insects, such as mosquitoes and the like, which land on or crawl on the surfaces, resulting in faster insect mortality rates. The texture of the insecticidal residue provides better transfer of the insecticidal active ingredients to insects that land on or crawl on the surface, resulting in faster insect mortality. The textured residue also enhances desirable surface characteristics for landing of mosquitoes and potentially other insects.

BIO-ROBOTIC DEVICE FOR LURING AND KILLING HEMATOPHAGOUS ARTHROPODS

The present invention concerns a device for luring and killing hematophagous arthropods in its inside, in an effective and selective way, without emitting to the outside harmful substances to human health and the environment, comprising multi-sensory lures for the aforesaid arthropods that guide them inside the device where 5 there is an eradication means for the target arthropod.

MOSQUITO ATTRACTANT FORMULATIONS AND USES THEREOF

Described is a mosquito attractant formulation having an effective amount of each of the components 3-octanone, heptanal, benzaldehyde, sulcatone, octanal, nonanal and decanal, and uses of the same. Also described is combination products, kits-of-parts and devices having the mosquito attractant formulation.

Insect trap

An insect trap (100) and method for trapping and/or killing insects are disclosed. The insect trap comprises an enclosure (10) for receiving a human or an animal, and comprising an opening (12) configured to allow air to flow out of the enclosure and prevent insects from entering the enclosure, and a trapping unit (30) outside of the enclosure and in fluidic communication with the opening. The trapping unit comprises a heatable container (32) comprising either an adhesive material (31) for attracting and trapping an insect or a material comprising insecticide for killing an insect.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ATTRACTING AND TRAPPING FLYING INSECTS

A trap for immobilizing, killing, or containing arthropods comprises a housing having walls and at least one opening, where the walls define an interior space; and a light source comprising a directional light source mounted in the interior space. The light source is constructed to emit light at one or more wavelengths ranging from 350 to 500 nm. The light source is positioned so that a majority of the light emitted from the light source is directed at one or more surfaces in the interior space. The trap also comprises a suppression element mounted in the interior space and constructed to immobilize, kill, or contain arthropods.

LARGE FLY BAIT MULTI-STATION TOOL
20230397593 · 2023-12-14 ·

A flying insect station includes a surface that is treated with a bait product, such as a pesticide. The surface of the station is an attractant to flying insects, such as large flies, due to contrasting colors and/or a pattern surface, which increases interaction by flies with the surface and also aids in the retention of the pesticide at the surface. The patterns can take many forms. In addition, the surface can include portions that are smooth at the molecular level and other portions that are textured in order to better hold and retain the pesticide. The station, in conjunction with the pesticide, allows a service specialist to use the product on a placement surface in more places indoors than they could by spraying during non-operational hours.

FLYING INSECT ATTRACTION STATION
20210144986 · 2021-05-20 ·

A flying insect station for attracting and killing insects on the exterior and interior of a structure is disclosed. The flying insect station includes features for attracting and killing files within a shortened window of time, preferably within one hour. The station includes in one aspect a surface being substantially dark in color and substantially reflective in nature to provide a facade of an opening. Suppression means such as a pesticide is included on one or more of the surfaces of the station for killing flying insects staging on the surface(s). An attractant may be used to provide a plume of attractant around surfaces of the housing to attract and lure flying insects to stage about a reflective surface.
