Rack guide and gear mechanism
The objective of the present invention is to reduce the impact of production variability in a radius of curvature of a rear surface of a rack bar, for example, while enlarging a region of contact with the rack bar. A concave surface (330) is used as a rack guide seat (32) sliding surface (33). In a YZ cross section perpendicular to an axial direction of a rack bar, the concave surface (330) includes: a pair of first arcuate surfaces (331A, 331B) which are disposed on a peripheral edge side (320) of the sliding surface (33), from two positions of contact TA, TB with a rack bar rear surface (22), the positions of contact TA, TB having line symmetry with respect to a straight Line O3 joining a center O of a rack bar (20) with a bottom portion center C of the sliding surface (33), and which have line symmetry with respect to the straight Line O3; and a pair of second arcuate surfaces (332A, 332B) which are disposed on a bottom portion side (321) of the sliding surface (33), from the positions of contact TA, TB, and which have line symmetry with respect to the straight Line O3. With regard to gaps to the rack bar rear surface (22) in positions separated by the same distance from the positions of contact TA, TB, the gaps from the first arcuate surfaces (331A, 331B) are greater than the gaps from the second arcuate surfaces (332A, 332b).
STEERING APPARATUS
Disclosed is a steering apparatus including: a mounting housing which is formed on one side of a rack housing and has first threads formed on an inner circumferential surface thereof; a yoke body which is provided inside the mounting housing and supports a rack bar located inside the rack housing; and a pressing member which is provided inside the mounting housing, has second threads formed on an outer circumferential surface thereof, and is coupled to the mounting housing in a state in which the second threads are coupled to the first threads and are separated from the yoke body.

Rotary to Linear Torque Transmission Device
A torque transmission device has a pinion that includes a plurality of rollers that mesh with a plurality of teeth of an output. Each roller is supported by a bearing having rotating bearing elements. A clearance compensation for the diametrical difference between a diameter of each roller and an inscribed diameter of the associated rotating bearing elements is included in the plurality of teeth of the output such that there is no interference between the plurality of rollers and the plurality of teeth.

Steering system having an adjustment assembly
A steering assembly includes a rack and an adjustment assembly. The rack has a first side surface, a second side surface disposed opposite the first side surface, a first surface extending between the first side surface and the second side surface, and a second surface disposed opposite the first surface. The adjustment assembly is arranged to apply orthogonal biasing forces to a pair of orthogonal surfaces of the non-cylindrical steering rack.
RACK SUPPORTING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE STEERING SYSTEMS
A rack supporting device for vehicle steering systems includes: a steering housing having a steering gear installed therein; a rack bar longitudinally inserted into the steering housing to engage with the steering gear; a tapered passage defined in an inner circumference of the steering housing, wherein the tapered passage is eccentric with an axial center of the steering housing; a rack bushing inserted between an inner circumference of the tapered passage and an outer circumference of the rack bar so that the rack bushing moves along the tapered passage and pushes the rack bar to the steering gear; and an elastic member mounted to one side of the tapered passage to provide an elastic pressing force for pushing the rack bar to the rack bushing.
Rack bar supporting device of steering apparatus for vehicle
The present embodiments relate to a rack bar supporting device of a vehicle steering apparatus, which may include: a support yoke configured to be inserted into a cylinder of a gear box and configured to have a support recess famed on a front surface thereof to support a rack bar positioned in the lateral direction therein and a yoke hollow formed on a rear surface thereof so as to receive an elastic member; a yoke plug configured to have a plug hollow famed on a front surface thereof to receive the elastic member for supporting the support yoke toward the rack bar and configured to be connected to the cylinder of the gear box; and damping members configured to protrude from a rear surface of the support yoke so as to be supported by a front surface of the yoke plug when an impact load is reversely transferred from the road surface through the rack bar.
Rack adjuster plug assembly for vehicle
A rack adjuster plug assembly for a steering system of a vehicle includes an outer bearing seat coupled to a rack housing and in abutment with a rack bearing. Also included is an inner spring seat disposed within a central aperture of the outer bearing seat. Further included is a spring disposed between the rack bearing and the inner spring seat.
Steering assembly
A steering assembly having an inner steering member; an outer member, where the inner steering member is adapted to translate relative to outer member; and a bearing component disposed around a portion of the inner steering member, where the bearing component includes a bearing having a unitary substrate and a polymer layer overlying the substrate, where the bearing has a generally arcuate shape and is adapted to support the inner steering member disposed in the outer member, where the bearing has a support region for supporting an inner steering member, and a plurality of feet comprising a first foot and second foot spaced apart from each other such that the support region extends there between, and where the first and second feet extend in radial direction beyond the support region such that upon assembly between inner steering member and outer member, wherein the bearing exerts a force against the inner steering member.
