CHAIN RING
A chain ring for engaging a chain link of a chain, the chain ring including an inner edge fully circumscribing both an opening and an axis of rotation, an inner surface extending between the inner edge and an outer edge where a plurality of chain ring teeth emanate, and a plurality of ramps disposed about the inner surface, wherein at least one of the plurality of ramps includes a lifting surface for initiating lift of a chain without assistance from the plurality of chain ring teeth. The lifting surface extends radially along the inner surface toward the outer edge, and the at least one ramp has a first end proximate the inner edge and a second end proximate the outer edge. The second end of the at least one lifting surface terminates before reaching the bottom of a trough positioned between two or more of the plurality of chain ring teeth.
Multiple sprocket assembly for a bicycle
A roller chain based drive train for a bicycle includes a sprocket assembly configured for mounting to a hub of a rear wheel of the bicycle. The sprocket assembly includes a smaller sprocket, a larger sprocket, and a plurality of pins connecting the smaller sprocket and the larger sprocket to each other. The pins are mounted in outer pin mount holes on the smaller sprocket and in the inner pin mount holes on the larger sprocket.
Bicycle chain rings
A bicycle chain ring for engaging a chain link of a bicycle chain, the bicycle chain ring including an inner edge fully circumscribing both an opening and an axis of rotation, an inner surface extending between the inner edge and an outer edge where a plurality of chain ring teeth emanate, and a plurality of ramps disposed about the inner surface, wherein at least one of the plurality of ramps includes a lifting surface for initiating lift of a bicycle chain without assistance from the plurality of chain ring teeth.
Floating Drive System and its Floating Drive Disc and Floating Flywheel
A floating drive system includes a floating disc and a floating flywheel, when the chain is offset on the floating flywheel, the floating disc is yawed on each sleeved disc axle, and the floating flywheel is yawed on the sleeved flywheel axle to maintain the linear offset of the chain.
CHAIN WHEEL
A chain wheel includes a body and protrusions extending outward along the periphery of the body for receiving links of a chain. The protrusions are connected releasably to the body and are spring-mounted independently of each other in a peripheral direction relative to the body.
Sprocket
A sprocket is provided for arrangement on a drive shaft, the sprocket having a gear rim which has an externally toothed gear ring and a ring carrier, and a sleeve body, wherein the ring carrier has a recess for receiving the sleeve body and the sleeve body has a recess for receiving the drive shaft so that the gear rim can be arranged on the drive shaft with the sleeve body interposed there between, wherein the sleeve body is provided with a thread on its outer lateral surface and wherein the recess of the ring carrier provided for receiving the sleeve body has on the inner side thereof facing the sleeve body a thread corresponding to the thread of the sleeve body.
Chain Ring With Teeth Oppositely Laterally Engaging A Drive Chain
A drive system for a vehicle includes a chain ring and a drive chain. The chain ring has a plurality of teeth serially arranged and joined to one another. A first subset of teeth has a first outer face that applies a lateral pressure to a link of a drive chain in a first direction. A second subset of teeth has a second outer face that applies a lateral pressure to another link of a drive chain in a second direction. The teeth all have substantially the same width. The top surfaces of the teeth are offset from the centerline of the drive chain. The centerlines of the top surfaces of the teeth are arranged asymmetrically on one side of the centerline of the drive chain.
FRONT CHAINRING ASSEMBLY
A chainring assembly includes a chainring carrier adapted to be coupled to a crank arm. The chainring carrier is rotatable about a rotation axis and includes an outer periphery having carrier threads. A chainring structure includes an inner periphery having chainring threads and an outer periphery comprising a plurality of teeth. The inner periphery of the chainring structure is threadably engaged with the outer periphery of the chainring carrier. In one embodiment, a power meter device includes a body having a torque input section and a torque output section, with the torque output section including an outer periphery having threads adapted to be coupled to a chainring structure.
Gypsy for windlass and method for its manufacture
A gypsy is disclosed, adapted for mounting in a windlass for hauling and/or veering anchor rode. A chain-engagement region (12) of the gypsy comprises chain link pockets (18) sized and spaced around the chain-engagement region to engage with chain of the anchor rode. A line-engagement region (24) is provided, with an array of rope grip features (26) spaced around the line-engagement region. The chain-engagement region of the gypsy is formed from a polymeric material and the line-engagement region is formed from a metal material.
