ROLLER CHAIN SPROCKET WITH RESILIENT CUSHION RINGS HAVING IMPROVED DURABILITY AND NOISE CHARACTERISTICS
A roller chain sprocket includes a body with a hub and a row of teeth that extends circumferentially around the hub such that the hub extends axially outward on opposite first and second sides of the row of teeth. The teeth are separated from each other by tooth spaces, wherein each of said tooth spaces is bisected by a radial tooth space centerline. First and second elastomeric cushion rings are respectively bonded to the hub on the opposite first and second sides of the row of teeth, with cushion ring extending circumferentially about the hub and including a plurality of compression pads separated from each other by axially extending transverse grooves. Each of the compression pads includes a planar or otherwise flat outer surface that is connected to a respective preceding one of the grooves by a leading corner surface and connected to a respective trailing one of the grooves by a trailing corner surface. Each of the grooves is located radially inward from a respective associated one of the tooth spaces such that the tooth space centerline is circumferentially aligned with the trailing corner surface that connects the groove to a preceding one of the compression pads. The compression pads provide both primary compression for a meshing chain link row and secondary compression for the next-meshing, upstream chain link row.
Device for adjusting a sprocket of a chain drive
A device for adjusting a sprocket of a chain drive includes a bearing journal having a free end and a fixed end, a rotary bearing arranged on the bearing journal, and a sprocket guided on the rotary bearing. A stop is formed on the bearing journal and at least one spring element is arranged between the rotary bearing and the stop, wherein a preloading means is provided via a clamp which preloads the rotary bearing against the spring element.
Chain drive comprising double chain wheel, sling device, and chain drive system
A chain drive for chain hoist with two link chains including two chain wheels arranged adjacent on a shaft and in torque-proof connection to one another, each chain wheel being used to guide a section of link chain having alternately horizontal and vertical links, namely, with pockets for accommodating horizontal links and with a groove extending in the circumferential direction for accommodating vertical links. The chain wheels have a fixed angular offset smaller than the angular pitch between two successive chain links of a chain wheel. This chain drive forms a chain drive system together with a sling for two link chains running parallel, wherein the sling includes, at one end, a connecting part for a load and, opposite thereto, two adjacently arranged connection portions for respective end links of either link chain, wherein the connection portions are offset from one another along the load direction with a linear offset smaller than the chain pitch along the load direction.
Sprocket for a log style chain
A sprocket is provided for a carrier link chain system which has a chain and a carrier link. The sprocket contains a unitary body which has three shaped sections including a central shaped section and two outer shaped sections sandwiching the central shaped section. The central shaped section has teeth for moving the chain of the carrier link chain. The two outer shaped sections have protrusions extending from a circumference and defines a path through which sides of the carrier link traverse and preventing a side-to-side movement of the carrier link and the chain links. The sprocket prevents jamming issues currently seen when a carrier link twists and causes the chain to jump off of the sprocket or the carrier link gets jammed against other portions of the conveyor system.
