Sprocket
A sprocket for a chain drive, in particular a timing chain drive for an internal combustion engine, is provided. The sprocket includes a radially outer toothed ring and a damping ring. The damping ring is axially spaced apart from, and radially inside of, the toothed ring. The damping ring has a radially outer surface that is shaped to be complementary to link plates of the timing chain. The design of the sprocket results in the damping ring being subject to practically no wear, being producible from a conventional material, and being economical to produce.
CO-MOLDED SPROCKET
A sprocket assembly includes a sprocket body preferably made of aluminum and at least one sprocket preferably made of steel. The sprocket assembly may include one, two, three, or more than three sprockets assembled around a central axis in the sprocket body. The sprockets have an internal design shaped to transfer the torque and the teeth on the sprocket transfer the torque to a chain or toothed belt. The steel sprockets are preferably co-molded with the aluminum sprocket body. In some embodiments, the sprocket assembly also includes at least one steel insert for each steel sprocket.
SPROCKET WITH ELASTOMER CUSHION RING
In one form, the present disclosure provides for a sprocket assembly including a sprocket wheel and a sprocket cushion. The sprocket wheel can include teeth extending radially outward from a hub. The cushion can be coupled to the hub on a first axial side of the teeth. The cushion can include an annular base and a plurality of projections. The base can be disposed about the hub and the projections can extend radially outward therefrom. Each projection can include a first axial end, second axial end, top surface, and chamfer. The first axial end can be proximal to the first axial side of the teeth. The top surface can extend axially between the first axial end and the second axial end. The chamfer can join the second axial end and the top surface such that a radial thickness of each projection decreases with increased axial distance away from the teeth.
Floating Drive System and its Floating Drive Disc and Floating Flywheel
A floating drive system includes a floating disc and a floating flywheel, when the chain is offset on the floating flywheel, the floating disc is yawed on each sleeved disc axle, and the floating flywheel is yawed on the sleeved flywheel axle to maintain the linear offset of the chain.
Compression ring for chain sprocket
A compression ring of a chain sprocket is provided with improved wear characteristics and damping to match various forms of link plates of a chain assembly. The chain assembly includes a plurality of longitudinal link plates hingedly connected by a plurality of pins. The compression ring includes two arrays of compression pads, each array defined by a different profile. Each array of compression pads can be matched to two corresponding groups of link plates. Multiple forms of compression pads and link plate geometries can be accommodated. Compression pad damping force can be tuned by adjusting the width and/or height of the link plates.
SPROCKET
An object of the present invention is to provide a sprocket that reduces impact and knocking sound of contact or seating when meshing with a chain, and that improves the durability of an entire chain drive system by reducing vibration and noise. The sprocket includes a cushion ring having an outer circumferential surface that is configured to come into contact with link plates of the chain. The cushion ring includes a circumferential groove extending in a circumferential direction on the outer circumferential surface, and the circumferential groove has a width smaller than that of the link plates.
CHAIN WHEEL
A chain wheel includes a body and protrusions extending outward along the periphery of the body for receiving links of a chain. The protrusions are connected releasably to the body and are spring-mounted independently of each other in a peripheral direction relative to the body.
DRIVE WHEEL FOR DRIVING A FEED CHAIN FOR THE DRY FEEDING OF LIVESTOCK
A drive wheel for driving a feed chain for dry-feeding livestock includes a base wheel having an axial passage for receiving a drive shaft and, a gear rim having a toothed external circumferential face, wherein the external circumferential face has a multiplicity of tooth elements. Each tooth element has two tooth tips and one chain clearance disposed between the two tooth tips. At least the gear rim composed of an elastic material.
SPROCKET
In a sprocket including a cushion ring coming into contact with link plates of a chain, the cushion ring includes, on an outer circumferential surface, a plurality of convex sections coming into contact with the link plates, and the plurality of convex sections are provided at corresponding positions to tooth tips at identical pitches to a plurality of teeth and include convex sections having different shapes.
SPROCKET WITH VIBRATION ABSORPTION PROPERTIES
Provided is a sprocket having a body formed by a powder metallurgy process with a predetermined density and vibration energy absorbing properties, and teeth with a greater density than the density of the body, and a method of making the same. The sprocket minimizes mechanical vibration during a chain-to-sprocket tooth contact. The teeth of the sprocket have a higher density than the body of the sprocket.
