Belt driven system and tensioner thereof
The present disclosure relates to a belt driven system. The belt driven system may include a master pulley, a slave pulley, a belt around the master pulley and the slave pulley, a tension pulley configured to tension the belt, and a position adjusting device configured to automatically adjust a position of the tension pulley based on an interaction of the tension pulley and the belt.
Laser welded damper having enhanced fatigue performance
A damper for suppressing vibrations of a crankshaft of a vehicle is disclosed. The damper comprises a hub having a circular wall extending about a rotational axis to define a bore formed therethrough. The wall comprises a step portion radially extending therefrom and having a first arcuate portion formed thereon. The hub comprises a body portion radially extending from the wall to a lip to define an open cavity. The damper comprises a weld nugget disposed between the hub and the plate. The weld nugget has a root extending therethrough concurrent with the rotational axis to join the hub and the plate. The root has tip defining a profile such that the hollow channel is disposed at an angle tangent to the profile to lessen cracking due to stress.
Isolated drive assembly with an isolator assembly and a torque limiter for limiting the transmission of torque through an elastomeric element of the isolator assembly
An isolated drive assembly that includes a drive member, which is rotatable about a rotational axis, a drive member hub, which is rotatable about the rotational axis relative to the drive member, an isolator assembly, which has an elastomeric element that transmits rotary power between the drive member and the drive member hub, and a torque limiter. The torque limiter has first and second sets of engagable limiter elements that limit rotation of the drive member relative to the drive member hub in opposite rotational directions to limit a magnitude of a moment that is transmitted through the elastomeric element.
Filtering pulley
Filtering pulleys have a hub adapted to be fixed to a rotating shaft, a ring assembled coaxial and rotationally free on the hub, and an elastic assembly arranged circumferentially with respect to the hub and the ring and interposed between a pair of first elements integral with the hub and between a pair of second elements integral with the ring. The elastic assembly includes an elastic element having a progressive rigidity increasing starting from a predetermined threshold value of the angle of relative rotation between the hub and the ring.
Follower bearing
A follower bearing includes an outer ring, rolling elements, and a cage retaining the rolling elements. The outer ring includes an annular first member made of steel, and an annular second member made of resin and covering an outer circumferential surface of the first member. The first member includes a tubular portion. The second member includes a first portion disposed on one side of the tubular portion in an axial direction and having a first opposing surface that opposes an outer circumferential surface of the cage in a radial direction, and a second portion disposed on the other side of the tubular portion in the axial direction and having a second opposing surface that opposes the outer circumferential surface of the cage in the radial direction. In the radial direction, the first and second opposing surfaces are each disposed on a more outer circumference side than a second raceway surface.
TRANSMISSION MODULE FOR A HYBRID DRIVE VEHICLE
A transmission module for a hybrid drive vehicle adapted to be interposed between an internal combustion engine and a vehicle transmission has a tray-like support structure defining a housing for a decoupling clutch and adapted to be fixed to the internal combustion engine. A module drive is carried by the support structure and has a first transmission member adapted to be connected to the decoupling clutch by means of a torsional vibration damper and has a second transmission member adapted to be connected to an electric machine. The torsional vibration damper has an actuator defining a centering with respect to the crankshaft and to a transmission torque converter and has a seat for a support bearing with respect to the support structure.
Pulley insert
Methods and systems are provided for a pulley insert. In one example, a pulley insert for a FEAD pulley comprises a first member insertable into a pulley such that the first member is rotatable within the pulley, the first member comprising a cavity for receipt of a second member; and a second member insertable into the cavity of the first member such that, when the first member is inserted into a pulley and the second member is inserted into the cavity of the first member, the second member prevents rotation of the first member relative to the pulley.
ROTARY DEVICE WITH CHAMBERED MEMBER AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
In one aspect, a rotary device is provided, and includes a shaft adapter, a chambered member, a seal member and at least one internal torque transfer member. The shaft adapter is connectible to a crankshaft or accessory shaft and defines an axis. The chambered member (e.g. a pulley) is rotatably connected to it, and at least partially encloses a chamber (e.g. for oil), and includes a circumferential portion, a first side wall, and a second side wall which is a separate member from the circumferential portion. One of the circumferential portion and the second side wall has projections thereon, and the other has valleys that mate with the projections with no clearance, so as to be able to transfer a torque of at least 10 Nm into one another without plastic deformation. A seal member is compressed between the second side wall and the circumferential portion.
NOISE ABATEMENT STRUCTURE FOR SYSTEM FOR REDUCING TORSIONAL VIBRATION ON A ROTARY SHAFT
In an aspect, a system is provided for reducing torsional vibrations for an engine having a crankshaft. The system includes an isolation device, which includes a shaft adapter that is mounted to the crankshaft, a pulley that is rotatably mounted to the shaft adapter, and at least one isolation spring that resiliently transfers torque between the pulley and the shaft adapter. The system further includes a torsional vibration damper that is mountable to the crankshaft. A noise generation space extends axially between the isolation device and the torsional vibration damper. The system further includes a noise abatement ring that extends axially from one of the isolation device and the torsional vibration damper towards the other of the isolation device and the torsional vibration damper, and at least partially radially encloses at least a portion of the noise generation space.
DAMPED ISOLATION PULLEY HAVING AN ELECTRO-ADHESIVE CLUTCH
A damped isolation pulley having a hub, a pulley disposed concentrically about the hub, an isolation spring, an inertia ring and an electro-adhesive clutch. The hub is configured to be mounted to a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine. The isolation spring is formed of an elastomeric material and couples the pulley to the hub. The inertia ring is resiliently coupled to the hub and is rotationally de-coupled from the pulley. The electro-adhesive clutch has a clutch input member that is coupled to the pulley and can be operated to form an alternate torque path between the pulley and the hub that does not include the isolation spring.
