Belt pulley and gear nut with such a belt pulley

A belt pulley for a gear mechanism, in particular for a steering gear, having a cylindrical body having an outer surface on which a toothing made of a plastic material is provided, and a fastening flange which is provided with fastening openings, is characterized in that the toothing is configured integrally with the cylindrical body.

Hybrid drive component

A hybrid drive component, such as a pulley, a drive sprocket, or an idler is composed of metal and composite material. The drive component manufacturing methods extend the overall life of the pulley while also reducing material usage and product weight thereby making the application more efficient. The drive component includes a drive element, a hub/bearing element and a connecting element. The connecting element is a molded construction that interconnects the drive element and the hub element.

Retaining clamp for molded plastics

Retaining clamps for retaining an over-molded plastic component to a substrate are disclosed herein that include a generally annular band having an inner surface, which defines an inner cavity for receiving a substrate rotatable about a central axis, and an opposing outer surface, which receives an over molded plastic component. The clamps have a plurality of axially extending retaining features formed in the annular band. The retaining features define a trough in the inner surface and a first crest in the outer surface or define a coupling portion forming a second crest. The retaining features are evenly spaced a distance apart along the generally annular band. A pulley body assembly is disclosed having a retaining clamp seated about an outer ring of a bearing for retaining a pulley body over-molded thereto. A method for over-molding a plastic component to a substrate using the retaining clamp is also disclosed herein.

A bearing-equipped resin pulley is equipped with a metal ring-shaped member (21) having an overall circular shape and pressed into the outer-diameter surface (3c) of an outer race (3), and has a resin pulley (15) integrally formed around the metal ring-shaped member (21). The metal ring-shaped member (21) comprises a cylindrical engaging part (23) for engaging the outer-diameter surface (3c) of the outer race (3) by being pressed therein, and a disc part (29) integrally formed in an upright manner in the perpendicular direction from the engaging part (23). Furthermore, the disc part (29) is provided with a plurality of holes (31) formed in the axial direction of the bearing (1) and arranged in the circumferential direction. As a result, it is possible to improve creep resistance even under harsh conditions of high rotation speed and high belt load.
