Integrated launch clutch and drive sheave for steel belt continuously variable transmission
An integrated launch clutch and drive sheave for a continuously variable transmission (CVT) is provided. The integrated launch clutch and drive sheave includes a drive sheave, a launch clutch and an integrated hydraulic system. The drive sheave includes a fixed sheave member that is statically mounted on and rotationally fixed to a drive sheave post and a movable sheave member that is slidably mounted on the drive sheave post. The launch clutch is in rotational communication with a motor. The launch clutch is configured to selectively couple engine torque from the motor to the drive sheave post of the drive sheave. The integrated hydraulic system is configured to both activate the launch clutch to selectively couple engine torque between the motor and the drive sheave and to axially move the movable sheave member on the drive sheave post of the drive sheave in relation to the fixed sheave member.

AIR-COOLED CVT CLUTCH ASSEMBLY
An apparatus and methods are provided for an air-cooled CVT clutch. The air-cooled CVT clutch includes a first cooling fan coupled with a primary clutch and a second cooling fan coupled with a secondary clutch. An outboard housing mates with an inboard housing to enclose the primary clutch and the secondary clutch. The first cooling fan is coupled to a moveable sheave comprising the primary clutch and configured to draw a cooling airstream through an air duct disposed in the outboard housing. The second cooling fan is coupled to a moveable sheave comprising the secondary clutch and configured to draw the cooling airstream from the primary clutch to the secondary clutch. The first cooling fan pushes the cooling airstream to the secondary clutch when the second clutch is not rotating.
CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION HAVING TUNABLE ACCELERATION AND DECELERATION
A continuously variable transmission driven pulley movable sheave comprising a beveled face disk, an elongated hollow cylindrical collar extending orthogonally from a center of the beveled face disk, and a triangular shaped tuning pocket disposed in the collar. The tuning pocket is structured and operable to control axial movement of the movable sheave on the elongated neck of the driven pulley. The tuning pocket comprises a first gear side, an acceleration side disposed at a positive angle relative to a reference point on the first gear side, and a deceleration side disposed at a negative angle relative to the reference point on the first gear side.

The present disclosure pertains to an adjustable lever for a centrifugal actuator of a continuously variable transmission drive pulley, the adjustable lever including a first extension and a second extension each for receiving a removable weight. The present disclosure also provides kits comprising an adjustable lever as disclosed herein and at least one first removable weight, at least one second removable weight, or both.
Continuously variable transmission
A continuously variable transmission changes a gear ratio by changing a groove width between the fixed side pulley half body and the movable side pulley half body in each of the driving pulley and the driven pulley using pulley pressure. At least any of a drive shaft of the driving pulley and a driven shaft of the driven pulley includes a pulley pressure supply oil passage for supplying pulley pressure to the movable side pulley half body, a lubricating oil passage provided on a downstream of the pulley pressure supply oil passage to supply oil as a lubricating oil to an endless member, and a flow control valve that is provided between the pulley pressure supply oil passage and the lubricating oil passage and operates according to pulley pressure.
Continuously variable transmission
A continuously variable transmission changes a gear ratio by changing a groove width between the fixed side pulley half body and the movable side pulley half body in each of the driving pulley and the driven pulley using pulley pressure. A cone pulley arrangement (1) for a cone pulley transmission, comprising: a shaft (2) which can be rotated about a rotational axis (3); at least one bearing (4, 5) by means of which the shaft (2) can be mounted; a first cone pulley (6), which is torsionally fixed and is fixedly connected to the shaft (2) in an axial direction (7); a second cone pulley (8) which is fixedly connected to the shaft (2) and is adjustable in the axial direction (7) relative to the shaft (2); a gearwheel (9) which is fixedly connected to the shaft (2); and an actuating member (10) for adjusting the second cone pulley (8), comprising a spring (11) and a piston (12), wherein the spring (11) and the piston (12) are at least partially nested with the gearwheel (9) or with the at least one bearing (4, 5) in the axial direction (7).
