Disclosed is a drive system. The drive system comprises a first and a second electrical motor respectively provided with a first rotor and a second rotor. The first rotor presents a first rotor shaft and the second rotor presents a second rotor shaft which is aligned and distal from the first rotor shaft. Furthermore, the system comprises an interface configured to interface the first electrical motor and the second electrical motor through a first and a second element coupled to respective rotor and developing outside of the rotation axis toward each other overlapping in an overlapping area wherein at least one interfacing bearing is inserted.

Thermal deflection apparatus

A Power Transfer Unit (PTU) has a housing with at least one side having an outer surface. One or more standoffs are provided at the at least one side of the housing and extend outward from the outer surface of the housing. A thermal deflector formed as a flat plate is attached to the standoffs at a predetermined distance from the outer surface of the housing. The flat plate deflects heat from nearby components, such as the catalytic converter and/or exhaust pipe, away from the PTU.

Aircraft engine and air-oil separator system therefore

The aircraft engine can have an air-oil separator having an air-oil mixture inlet, an oil outlet, an air outlet, and a pressure relief path provided fluidly in parallel with the air-oil separator, between the air-oil mixture inlet and the air outlet, the pressure relief path can have a pressure relief valve for evacuating air-oil mixture to the exhaust duct in the event of excess pressure in the auxiliary gearbox.

Vehicle transmission and drive system

A transmission includes a transmission main housing, an intermediate plate secured to the transmission main housing; and a rear housing attached to the intermediate plate and/or attached with fasteners through the intermediate plate to the main housing. An input shaft is connected to an extension shaft including a plurality of splitter gears selectively couple-able to the extension shaft. A main shaft is rotatably supported by the range shaft and range shaft bearing and includes a plurality of main box gears selectively couple-able to the main shaft. A range shaft is drivingly connected to the main shaft and provides input to a planetary gear assembly. The extension shaft is supported at a first end by a bearing assembly within a partition wall of the main transmission housing and a second end is supported by a bearing assembly disposed within the bore in the range shaft.

Drive assembly for a vehicle, and vehicle comprising the drive assembly

A drive assembly 1 for a vehicle includes a prime mover housing section 2 and a transmission housing section 3. The prime mover housing section 2 encompasses a dry space 4, and the transmission housing section 3 encompasses an oil space 5. The oil space 5 is at least partially filled with an oil 6. A prime mover shaft 10 extends from the dry space 4 into the oil space 5. A partition 7 separates the oil space 5 from the dry space 4. A sealing device 13 seals the prime mover shaft 10 with respect to the partition 7. The sealing device 13 is arranged in the partition 7. A connecting unit 19 provides a fluidic connection between and compensates for pressure differences between the oil space 5 and the dry space 4.

Motor apparatus having oil circulation structure

A motor apparatus having an oil circulation structure may collect churning oil inside a housing and efficiently disperses the collected oil in each drive system, smoothly performing cooling and lubrication of the drive system including a motor and a reduction gear. Furthermore, even under low or high load conditions of the drive system, the oil level inside the housing is maintained at a constant level to maintain desired lubrication and cooling performance.

HOUSING MEMBER FOR POWER TRANSMISSION DEVICE

A housing member for a power transmission device connected to a driving source via a torque converter housed in the housing member includes a torque converter side mating face closer to the torque converter. The torque converter side mating face has a single-wall structure and a double-wall structure, wherein two adjacent fastening regions are connected circumferentially by a wall in the single-wall structure, and wherein two adjacent fastening regions are connected circumferentially by each of two walls in the double-wall structure. The torque converter side mating face includes: an upper half region in which the double-wall structure has a greater proportion in area than the single-wall structure; and a lower half region in which the double-wall structure has a less proportion in area than the single-wall structure.

A reduction drive including an electric motor disposed in a housing and driving a motor shaft, a Hall Effect sensor adjacent to the motor, a power and control module, and a pinion gear in the housing and driven by the motor shaft. A planetary gear reduction assembly includes a first ring gear rotatably disposed in the housing and driven by the pinion gear, a sun gear engaged to and driven by the first ring gear, a second ring gear non-rotatably fixed to a housing surface, and a plurality of planet gears mounted on a carrier assembly, each planet gear rotating with the sun gear, and on the second ring gear. An output axle is driven by the carrier assembly and has an axis of rotation that is offset from and parallel to the motor shaft axis of rotation.

CAM-LOCKING SYSTEM FOR A RETRACTABLE DRIVESHAFT AND METHOD FOR USE THEREOF
20210341045 · 2021-11-04 · ·

A cam-locking system for use with a retractable driveshaft that includes a housing, a cam carrier located at least partially the housing, and a cam rotatably coupled to the cam carrier. Translation of the cam carrier along a central axis allows the cam to rotate into cooperative engagement with a catch recess on an interior surface of the housing, preventing the cam carrier from translating backwards, and thereby maintaining the retractable driveshaft in an engaged position. Further advancement of the cam carrier allows that cam to rotate into and unlocking gap in the interior surface of the housing, which enables the cam carrier to translate backwards along the central axis below the locked position, thereby disengaging the retractable driveshaft.
