The first synchronization ring may have a cone for receiving the second synchronization ring.

An engine for an aircraft includes an engine core having a turbine, a compressor, and a core shaft connecting the turbine to the compressor; a fan located upstream of the engine core, the fan having a plurality of fan blades; and a gearbox. The gearbox is an epicyclic gearbox and comprises a sun gear, a plurality of planet gears, a ring gear, and a planet carrier on which the planet gears are mounted. The radial bending stiffness of the planet carrier is equal to or greater than 1.20×10.sup.9 N/m, and/or the tilt stiffness of the planet carrier is greater than or equal to 6.00×10.sup.8 Nm/rad. A method of operation of such an engine is also disclosed.

The invention relates to a planetary gear box in a gas turbine engine, characterized by at least one protective device in the interior of a casing of the planetary gear box, wherein the protective device is designed and configured to divert at least one particle which is moving in the casing, in particular in an event of damage, and/or to extract kinetic energy from the moving at least one particle, in particular by deformation of the protective device, wherein the protective device is coupled to the casing of the planetary gear box, to a planet gear and/or to a planet carrier. The invention also relates to a gas turbine engine.

Portal unit

A portal unit is provided. The portal unit includes a deceleration gear train and a housing. The housing includes an inner side wall that is formed with an input opening at a position above a rotation axial line of a driving wheel, an outer side wall that is formed with an output opening at a coaxial position with the rotation axial line of the driving wheel, and an intermediate wall that connects peripheral edges of the inner side wall and the outer side wall. The inner side wall is provided, at a radially outward position of the input opening, with mount bolts for the suspension unit. The mount bolts each include a shaft portion protruding inwardly in a vehicle width direction.

ARCHITECTURES FOR HYBRID-ELECTRIC PROPULSION

A hybrid propulsion system includes a heat engine configured to drive a heat engine shaft. An electric motor is configured to drive an electric motor shaft. A transmission system includes at least one gearbox. The transmission system is configured to receive rotational input power from each of the heat engine shaft and the electric motor shaft and to convert the rotation input power to output power.

WORK VEHICLE

There is provided a work vehicle including an oil outlet port and a partition part. The oil outlet port opens to a bottom portion in one end side of a transmission case in a vehicle body front-back direction and a vehicle body left-right direction. The oil outlet port takes out a lubricating oil from an interior of the transmission case. The partition part divided an internal space of the transmission case into a first space zone along a sidewall portion of the transmission case, and a second space zone other than the first space zone. The partition part brings the first space zone into a sealed state.
