The column members are inserted into the hole portions respectively, and support the externally toothed gear to be swingable around the motor axis via an inner side surface of each of the hole portions. At least one of the column members is attached to the one member in a manner of being rotatable around a central axis of the at least one column member.

The gearbox of the present disclosure has low vibration and low noise.

A cam phasing system is provided. In some non-limiting examples, the cam phasing system includes a planetary actuator having a first sun gear, a first set of planet gears meshed to and arranged circumferentially around the first sun gear, a first ring gear meshed with the first set of planet gears, and a second sun gear. The second sun gear is rotationally fixed. The planetary actuator further includes a second set of planet gears meshed to and arranged circumferentially around the second sun gear, a second ring gear meshed with the second set of planet gears, and an input shaft rotationally coupled to the first sun gear for rotation therewith. Rotation of the input shaft rotates the first ring gear relative to the second ring gear.

The disclosure provides a motor with a deceleration mechanism capable of suppressing disengagement of gears even when a large external force is applied to an output shaft. A backup member 70 maintaining engagement between a pinion gear 61 and a helical gear 62 is provided on a side of the pinion gear 61 opposite to the side of the helical gear 62 in a gear case 20. Thus, even when a large external force is applied to the output shaft, disengagement of the gears (disengagement of the pinion gear 61 and the helical gear 62) can be suppressed. Therefore, damage to the pinion gear 61 and the helical gear 62 (deceleration mechanism 60) can be prevented for a long period of time, and consequently the life of the motor 10 with the deceleration mechanism can be extended.

Two speed transmission for rotary drive system

A two-speed transmission alternately establishes two speed ratios between a primary drive pulley and one or more accessories pulleys of an accessory drive system. The two-speed transmission includes concentric input and output shafts fixed to input and output pulleys respectively. When an actuator is disengaged, a one-way clutch transfers power between the input shaft and the output shaft. The input shaft is fixed to the planet carrier of a planetary gear set and the output shaft is fixed to the sun gear of the planetary gear set. When the actuator is engaged, the ring gear of the planetary gear set is held establishing an overdrive speed relationship between the input pulley and the output pulley.
