A mechanical system comprising a sump and at least one component to be lubricated or cooled arranged in the sump, the mechanical system comprising a lubricating fluid system provided with a lubricating fluid and a tank arranged in the sump. The tank is a leaking tank and is situated above said at least one component to be lubricated or cooled, the lubricating fluid flowing out of the tank by force of gravity, so as to reach said at least one component to be lubricated or cooled. The lubricating fluid system has at least one lift flow generator connected by at least one filling line to the tank and to at least one suction point present in a bottom of the sump. The lift flow generator fills the tank with the lubricating fluid present in said bottom at least during a starting phase.

Transmission for a motor vehicle
A transmission for a motor vehicle includes a housing and a gear set. An oil drainage channel is formed by the housing and/or by an element connected to the housing and is arranged spatially underneath the gear set. The oil drainage channel includes at least one gear set-side inlet port, a closed underside, and an oil sump-side outlet port at one end of the oil drainage channel, which are designed and arranged in such that oil from the gear set enters the oil drainage channel through the at least one inlet port and is guided along the closed underside to the outlet port. A suction port of a hydraulic unit of the transmission is arranged in the oil sump spatially underneath the closed underside of the oil drainage channel and axially offset with respect to the outlet port.

A lubricant guide shell (32) for includes a first, radially extending section (33), which is provided for being situated axially opposite an end face (35) of a torque converter (9) in an installed state of the lubricant guide shell (32). The first section (33) transitions radially outwardly into a second, axially extending section (34), which, in the installed state of the lubricant guide shell (32), is configured for axially at least partially and radially outwardly encompassing the torque converter starting from the first section (33). The first section (33) as well as the second section (34) are configured to be completely circumferential.
LUBRICANT CONSUMER SYSTEM FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE
Lubricant consumer system comprising at least one lubricant consumer, at least one rotating component, wherein fluid lubricant can be conveyed via the rotating component, and a lubricant distributor system, wherein the lubricant distributor system has at least two lubricant tanks, namely a first lubricant tank and at least one second lubricant tank, and a lubricant channel, wherein the two lubricant tanks are fluidically connected to one another and to the lubricant consumer via the lubricant channel, wherein one of the two lubricant tanks is designed and arranged in such a way that, in a horizontal position of the lubricant consumer system, it receives the fluid lubricant of the rotating component and supplies both the other lubricant tank and the lubricant consumer with lubricant via the lubricant channel, and wherein the other lubricant tank is designed and arranged in such a way that, in an inclined position of the lubricant consumer unit, the lubricant consumer is supplied with lubricant from at least the other lubricant tank.
METHOD OF CONTROLLING EOP OF POWERTRAIN OF VEHICLE
A method of controlling an EOP of a powertrain may include determining, by a controller electrically connected to the EOP, whether an oil sloshing phenomenon in which it is difficult for oil to return to a space where an oil intake port of the EOP is positioned may occur while a vehicle is running; and reducing, by the controller, the revolutions per minute (RPM) of the EOP by a predetermined reduced RPM when it is determined that the oil sloshing phenomenon may occur.
LUBRICATION SYSTEM WITH A RESERVE TANK
A lubrication system for a mechanical system, the lubrication system comprising a main tank, a reserve tank and a main lubrication circuit. The main lubrication circuit comprises, in particular, a pump drawing in the lubricating liquid from the main tank via a main suction point and a main suction pipe connecting the main suction point to the pump. The reserve tank is supplied with lubricating liquid either directly from the main tank or via the main lubrication circuit. The reserve tank is connected to the main suction pipe via an outlet pipe and the reserve tank is located above the main suction point so that the lubricating liquid flows through the outlet pipe to the main suction pipe by gravity.
Lubricant collector
A vehicle drive unit assembly having a ring gear with a plurality of ring gear teeth extending from an outer surface thereof. At least a portion of a lubricant collector having a body portion with a first side, a second side, a first end portion, a second end portion and an intermediate portion is disposed proximate to and directly adjacent at least a portion of the ring gear. The lubricant collector has one or more first receiving portions and/or one or more second receiving portions defining a collector reservoir therein. The one or more first receiving portions and/or one or more second receiving portions of the collector reservoir receive an amount of lubricating fluid that is expelled or thrown from the ring gear.

An example of an emergency lubrication system for an aircraft includes a lubricant tank configured to supply a lubricant to a gearbox of the aircraft, a tube coupled between the lubricant tank and the gearbox and comprising a check ball disposed within the tube, a first lubricant line coupled to the tube and a first inlet of the gearbox, and a second lubricant line coupled to the tube and a second inlet of the gearbox.
