A system for an agricultural operation includes a first vehicle having an object sensor configured to capture data associated with one or more objects within the field and a location sensor configured to capture data associated with a location of each of the one or more objects. A computing system is communicatively coupled with the object sensor and the location sensor. The computing system is configured to identify at least one of the one or more objects as a weed, classify each of the identified weeds in a first set of weeds or a second set of weeds, and generate a weed map based on the classification of each of the first set of weeds and the second set of weeds.

The technology described herein provides a dual machine irrigation system. The first machine is primarily an irrigation machine and the second machine is primarily a sensor machine, though it may also distribute liquids. The irrigation machine includes an irrigation span and can include multiple irrigation spans. The sensor machine includes a sensor span and can include multiple sensor spans. The sensor span gathers data that is used to optimize the liquid deployment from the irrigation span. In an aspect, both the irrigation span and the sensor span follow the same path of travel through a field, but at different times. The sensor span is separate from the irrigation span and includes a plurality of environmental sensors that gather data on the field, the field environment, and any crops that may be in the field. The ability of the sensor span to provide real-time data allows for optimization of liquid deployments.

A system for an agricultural vehicle can include a nozzle assembly positioned along a boom assembly. A position sensor can be associated with the boom assembly. A field sensor can be associated with the nozzle assembly. A computing system can be operably coupled with the nozzle assembly, the position sensor, and the field sensor. The computing system can be configured to detect a target within a field based on data from the field sensor, determine a boom deflection model based on data from the position sensor, and activate the nozzle assembly to apply an agricultural product to the target at a first flow rate based on the boom deflection model. The first flow rate is varied from a nominal flow rate when the boom assembly is deflected.

Modular precision agriculture system

A modular system includes a hub and a set of modules removably coupled to the hub. The modules are physically coupled to the frame relative to each other so that each module can operate with respect to a different row of a field. An individual module includes a sensor for capturing field measurement data of individual plants along a row as the modular system moves through the geographic region. An individual module further includes a treatment mechanism for applying a treatment to the individual plants of the row based on the field measurement data before the modular system passes by the individual plants. An individual module further includes a computing device that determines the treatment based on the field measurement data and communicates data to the hub. The hub is communicatively coupled to the modules, so that it may exchange data between the modules and with a remote computing system.

The agricultural treatment system uses a treatment unit for emitting a laser at agricultural objects. A first and second motor assembly are operated by the treatment unit to control the movement of the treatment head. The first motor assembly includes a first motor rotatable in a first rotational axis. A first linkage assembly is connected to the first motor and the treatment head assembly. The first linkage assembly is rotatable by the first motor. The second linkage assembly is rotatable by the second motor.
