Planetary carrier, planetary transmission, drive train and wind turbine
A one-piece planetary carrier includes first and second side walls connected to one another by a plurality of webs. At least one of the webs has a curved outer surface which is directed substantially outward in a radial direction and belongs to a lateral surface of the web. The web includes a transition to the first side wall and a transition to the second side wall. The curved outer surface is convexly curved about a first axis of curvature at the transition to the first side wall and the transition to the second side wall. The curved outer surface has at least one anticlastic region which lies in an axial central section and an axial edge section of the web, with a combination of the axial central section with the axial edge section substantially defining an axial dimension of the planetary carrier.
ARRANGEMENT FOR LUBRICATING A GEAR
An arrangement for lubricating a gear in a toothed gearing comprising a shaft on which the gear is arranged is provided. An engaging ring with a central portion is arranged around said shaft and comprises a surface facing and spaced from an end surface of the gear creating a gap for guiding lubricant to the gear, and at least one first duct for lubricant, whereby said duct has at least one opening into the gap. The component comprises an annular portion with an inner peripheral surface mounted onto an outer peripheral surface of a shoulder on the gear; where axial discontinuities are provided between the shoulder and the annular portion of the component for guiding and distributing lubricant to the roots of the gear.
Transmission for a Drive Train in an Agricultural or Heavy Load Vehicle and a Corresponding Drive Train and Corresponding Vehicle
A transmission for an agricultural or heavy load vehicle is provided, and includes a central drive shaft, at least one planetary gearset comprising a planet carrier, at least one output drive element, and one brake device. The drive shaft is connected to the output drive element via the planetary gearset. The brake device is located between the planet carrier and the output drive element in the form of a ring gear, such that the output drive element can be coupled to the planet carrier via the brake device.
GEARED GAS TURBINE ENGINE WITH COMBINED SPRAY BAR AND SCAVENGE COMPONENT
A gear reduction includes a sun gear that engages a plurality of planet gears mounted on a carrier. The planet gears are engaged with a ring gear. The ring gear is fixed against rotation such that rotation of the sun gear causes rotation of the planet gears to cause rotation of the carrier. There are spray bars positioned circumferentially between adjacent ones of the planet gears. The spray bars have jet openings, such that lubricant can be passed directly onto teeth on the sun gear. One of the side faces has a plurality of windows such that oil can be scavenged. There are side surfaces between plurality of windows that do not have an opening. A gas turbine engine and a spray bar are also disclosed.
Lubrication system
Embodiments are directed to solid lubricant assemblies for providing over temperature protection for bearings and gears in rotorcraft systems. A solid lubricant enters a fluid state above a certain temperature and is positioned so that fluid lubricant is applied to the bearings or gears.

An apparatus and a method of retaining a bearing assembly having a bore to a shaft received within the bore, the method comprising physically limiting the axial movement of the bearing assembly on the shaft by a retainer mounted to an end of the shaft and having a portion extending radially beyond the shaft and into an axial path of the bearing assembly.
Lubricating liquid manifold for a crankpin of an epicyclic gear train, gearbox and aircraft
A lubricating liquid manifold for a crankpin of an epicyclic gear train. The epicyclic gear train is lubricated by a lubrication system conveying a first flow of a lubricating liquid towards the manifold and a second flow of the lubricating liquid towards a member to be lubricated. The manifold comprises a hollow body provided with an inlet port intended to receive the first flow and an outlet port designed such that the first flow is conveyed towards a guide device connected to the crankpin. The manifold comprises a barrier comprising a shoulder connected to the body and a deflector protruding radially outwards from the body so as to form, with the shoulder, a diversion space for diverting the second flow and preventing it from penetrating into the manifold.
Variable speed and reversible dual path fan drive system
A drive system includes a planetary gear set having first and second rotatable input members connected in driven relation with respective first and second power sources, and a rotatable output member connected in driving relation with a working piece, the first and second rotatable input members being connected in differentially rotatable communication with the output member. The input members are operable to vary the rotation and direction of the output member and the connected working piece. In an aspect, the output member is rotatable about an axis for driving the working piece, and the first and second input members are also rotatable about the axis. In a further aspect, the first and second input members include coupling regions for coupling the first and second power sources on-axis with the drive system. In a further aspect, the second power source is a hydraulic input motor concentric with the first input member.
Gearboxes for aircraft gas turbine engines
The present disclosure relates to gearboxes for aircraft gas turbine engines, in particular to arrangements for journal bearings such gearboxes, and to related methods of operating such gearboxes and gas turbine engines. Example embodiments include a gearbox for an aircraft gas turbine engine, the gearbox comprising: a sun gear; a plurality of planet gears surrounding and engaged with the sun gear; and a ring gear surrounding and engaged with the plurality of planet gears, each of the plurality of planet gears being rotatably mounted around a pin of a planet gear carrier with a journal bearing having an internal sliding surface on the planet gear and an external sliding surface on the pin.
Gear box with an oil stirring box
Provided is a gear box including a lubricating oil pool arranged at a bottom of the gear box, and at least one oil stirring box that includes an oil storage chamber, the oil storage chamber being provided with an oil scooping port and at least one oil outlet. The at least one oil stirring box is arranged on a rotary component in the gear box and rotatable along with the rotary component. A lubricating oil in the lubricating oil pool is allowed to flow through the oil scooping port into the oil storage chamber when the at least one oil stirring box rotates to the lubricating oil pool. The lubricating oil in the oil storage chamber is further allowed to flow out of the at least one oil outlet to a lubrication point when the oil stirring box rotates to the vicinity of the lubrication point.
