A gear wheel, in particular an idler gear, for reducing backlash in a gear train, includes a first wheel part and a second wheel part. The first wheel part has multiple teeth that are distributed over a periphery of the first wheel part. The first wheel part may rotate about a first axis (A). The second wheel part has multiple teeth that are distributed over a periphery of the second wheel part. The second wheel part may rotate about a second axis (B) that is arranged parallel to and offset with respect to the first axis.

Worm drive

The invention relates to a worm drive comprising a worm shaft and a first receiving unit. The worm shaft is rotatably mounted in the first receiving unit. Furthermore, the worm drive comprises a worm wheel and a second receiving unit. The worm wheel is rotatably mounted in the second receiving unit. The first receiving unit is arranged on the second receiving unit and the rotatably mounted worm shaft is in contact with the worm wheel of the second receiving unit in order to transmit a torque. Furthermore, the worm drive comprises guide pins for detachably connecting the first receiving unit to the second receiving unit. More particularly, the first receiving unit receives at least part of the guide pins and the second receiving unit is connected to one of the guide pins, preferably to a first end of the guide pin. A spring element is arranged on a second end of the guide pin between the first receiving unit and a fastening means.

GEAR CONTROL SYSTEM FOR VIBRATION ATTENUATION

A power take off unit includes an input gear, an output gear, and an intermediary gear that cooperate to transfer power from a rotational power source to an operating target. The power take off unit has a control module that biases the intermediary gear relative to the input gear and the output gear to reduce gear rattle vibrations associated with intermeshed tooth looseness.

ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE AND STARTING PROTECTOR FOR ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE

A starting protector for an all-terrain vehicle is provided and includes a shaft, a driven wheel fitted over the shaft and comprising a tooth portion, a sleeving portion and a locking portion, and the tooth portion being configured to be connected with an engine; a driving wheel fitted over the sleeving portion, one side of the driving wheel being attached to the tooth portion, and the driving wheel being configured to be connected with a starting motor; a friction piece fitted over the sleeving portion and being in synchronous rotation with the sleeving portion, the friction piece being attached to the other side of the driving wheel, and when starting torque of the engine exceeds a preset value, the driving wheel and the friction piece slipping relatively; and a compressing assembly fitted over the sleeving portion and the locking portion to compress the friction piece and the driving wheel.

Engine variable camshaft timing phaser with planetary gear set
11781451 · 2023-10-10 · ·

An engine variable camshaft timing (VCT) phaser assembly is equipped in an internal combustion engine (ICE) to adjust the rotation of the engine's camshaft relative to the engine's crankshaft. The adjustments advance and retard the opening and closing movements of the engine's intake and exhaust valves. An electric motor and a planetary gear set work together amid use of the VCT phaser assembly. The planetary gear set can include two or more ring gears, planet gears, and a sun gear. A backlash condition sometimes experienced in previous VCTs is minimized in the VCT phaser assembly by one or more springs that urge the planet gears into engagement with the ring gears.

Sensor device

A sensor device includes a main driving gear, driven gears, an biasing member configured to bias the driven gears toward the main driving gear, a support member configured to support the biasing member, and a sensor configured to generate an electrical signal based on rotation of the driven gears. In a force applied when the biasing member biases the driven gears, assuming that a direction orthogonal to a tangent line at a point of action of the force is set as a first direction, the first direction is different from a second direction.

GEAR BOX

A gear box includes a motor, a worm pivotally supported by a shaft of the motor, a gear being formed at the worm, and a helical gear configured to mesh with the gear of the worm. A transfer coefficient of the helical gear with respect to a standard gear is x, an addendum coefficient of the helical gear is k, x satisfies −0.4<x<−0.1, and k satisfies 0.1<k<0.4.

Dual-mount for spring-loaded gear-driven resolvers

A resolver assembly for a ducted-rotor aircraft is configured to detect and measure rotation of a spindle of the aircraft. The resolver assembly includes first and second gear-driven resolvers. The first and second resolvers are coupled about a shared pivot axis and are independently pivotable about the pivot axis to maintain engagement of the first and second resolvers with the spindle of the aircraft. The resolver assembly is configured such that the first and second resolvers are biased toward the spindle. The input shafts of the first and second resolvers are spaced from the pivot axis through respective first and second distances that extend outward from the pivot axis along respective first and second radial directions. The first distance is equal to the second distance and the first radial direction is not coincident with the second radial direction.

Stator core end caps

Electric motors are disclosed. The motors are preferably for use in an automated vehicle, although any one or more of a variety of motor uses are suitable. The motors include lift, turntable, and locomotion motors.

Worm reducer and method for manufacturing worm reducer
11441665 · 2022-09-13 · ·

A worm reducer includes a worm shaft; a worm wheel; a housing that houses the worm shaft and the worm wheel; a bearing that holds the worm shaft inside the housing; a coil spring that contacts an outer peripheral surface of the bearing and applies an urging force toward the worm wheel; and a preload member that is screwed into and fixed to the housing and pressurizes the coil spring. A winding direction of the coil spring is different from a winding direction of a thread of the preload member, and contact resistance between the coil spring and the preload member is greater than contact resistance between the coil spring and the bearing.
