Assisting element structure for paddle shifter of vehicle
An assisting element structure for a paddle shifter of a vehicle includes: an operating body having a centrally-disposed flange, with a first and second extending portions disposed at two ends of the operating body, respectively, the flange having therein a receiving chamber which the paddle shifter is fitted in; a groove corresponding in position to the first extending portion is concavely disposed on the flange, wherein a first through hole, a second through hole and a threaded hole are disposed at two ends and a middle of the groove, respectively, and a baffle corresponding in position to an inner wall of the second extending portion is disposed on the flange; a pressing element disposed in the groove and having two ends with a first and second elastic segments corresponding in position to the first and second through holes, respectively; and a screwing component disposed in the threaded hole.
Vehicle and accessory control system
A control system for a vehicle, such as an off-road recreational vehicle, that includes a powertrain and an accessory. The control system includes an actuator, such as a paddle shifter, configured to operate in a powertrain mode to control an aspect of the powertrain, and to operate in an accessory mode to control an aspect of the accessory. The control system also includes a selector configured to switch the actuator between the powertrain mode and the accessory mode.
PADDLE SWITCH SYSTEM
A paddle switch system comprises a housing, a paddle having a pivot member pivotally disposed in the housing for operating an electrical switch within the housing in response to a force on the paddle, a cover coupled to the housing wherein the housing and the cover partially enclose the paddle, and a vibration reduction mechanism disposed in the housing proximate the pivot member of the paddle. The electrical switch comprises a dome switch and the paddle is disposed in the housing to partially preload the dome switch.

Shift control system and method for a vehicle having steering wheel paddle shifters and a console shifter
A shift system and methodology for an automatic transmission of a vehicle is provided. The shift system includes a paddle shifter system configured to be controlled to manually shift gears of the transmission, and a manual gate console shifter system configured to be controlled to manually shift the gears of the transmission when in a manual gate shifting mode. A shift control system is configured to control shifting behavior of the transmission based on whether the paddle shifter system or manual gate shifting mode is activated. When the paddle shifter system is activated, the shift control system automatically upshifts a gear of the transmission when a speed of the engine exceeds a predetermined speed, and when the manual gate shifting mode is activated, the shift control system prevents automatically upshift a transmission gear when the speed of the engine exceeds the predetermined speed.
SHIFT SYSTEM THEFT PROTECTION FEATURE
A steering column assembly includes a jacket assembly, a modular shift assembly, and a mounting bracket. The jacket assembly extends along a first axis. The modular shift assembly includes a shift bracket and a shift gate. The shift bracket is connected to the jacket assembly and defines a shift bracket opening. The shift gate is disposed on the shift bracket. The bracket defines a shift gate opening as well as first and second detents that extend from the shift gate opening. The mounting bracket is disposed on the shift bracket and has a tab that overlaps a portion of the shift gate.
Vehicle control system and method
A motor vehicle control system that includes a first user-operable transmission selector for selecting a transmission operating mode and a user-operable gear selector, such as paddle input controls. The gear selector is operable in a first functional mode to select between a plurality of forward direction gear ratios. The gear selector is also operable in a second functional mode to select between a forward direction and reverse direction. This allows a user to use the gear selector to control travel in forward and reverse directions.
Transmission mode control system
A transmission mode control system includes a control device that controls a transmission mode of a vehicle and a first input device that accepts a switching operation of switching from an automatic transmission mode to a manual transmission mode. The control device includes a processor and a memory. The processor executes a process including: switching the transmission mode from the manual transmission mode to the automatic transmission mode when a switching time elapses after an operation of the first input device by a driver of the vehicle; and extending the switching time by a set time when the driver performs, within a post-switching determination time after the switching time elapses, a certain operation that causes a gear ratio to change in the same direction as a change of gear ratio when the gear shift is executed in response to the operation by the driver before the switching time elapses.
Controller for vehicle
A paddle shifter includes a pair of operation portions that decrease or increase the deceleration, the shift characteristic of the vehicle is set to a fixed shift mode based on the operation of the driver in response to an operation of one operation portion, a shift characteristic of the vehicle is set to a fixed shift mode based on the operation of the driver in response to an operation of the one operation portion, the shift characteristic of the vehicle is set to an automatic shift mode based on a running condition of the vehicle in response to an operation of the other operation portion, and when the one operation portion of the pair of operation portions remains in an ON state for a predetermined period of time, a change in the shift characteristic of the vehicle based on the other operation portion is activated.
