ERGONOMIC SELECTOR CONFIGURATION
A vehicle includes a console positioned within a passenger cabin. A selector interface is defined within the console. The selector interface is selectively operable between a stowed position within the console and an actuating position that exposes control surfaces of the selector interface relative to the console. An operating system is in communication with the selector interface when the selector interface is in the actuating position. An articulating element operates the selector interface between the stowed position and the actuating position. The articulating element is activated through a designated user gesture relative to the console.
SHIFT-BY-WIRE SYSTEM
A shift-by-wire system physically prevents shifting to the R/N/D gear position and shifting to the P gear position from being simultaneously performed. The shift-by-wire system includes a body configured to have a Hall sensor provided therein, a knob installed so as to be rotatable around an axis of the body, a button assembly moving in an axial direction of the body and having a magnet provided to sense rotated and moved states thereof using the Hall sensor and rotate together with the knob, and a concurrent operation limiting unit to mechanically limit movement of the button assembly in a state in which the knob is manipulated so as to be rotated, and to mechanically limit rotation of the knob in a state in which the button assembly is manipulated so as to be moved.

Dial-type shifting control apparatus for vehicles
A dial-type shifting control apparatus of vehicles may include a dial bezel and an upper cover integrated into a single body to be rotated together when a dial is rotated, obviating formation of an operation gap between the dial bezel and the upper cover to prevent foreign substances from entering through the operation gap, and a button guide disposed under an upper cover attenuates an impact occurring when a P-gear button is returned, and thus to prevent noise, caused by striking of the upper cover when the P-gear button is returned, from being transmitted to the interior of a vehicle.

SYSTEMS FOR SHAFT SPEED SENSING
A transmission system associated with a vehicle includes a shaft to rotate about an axis of rotation. The shaft is coupled to a gear set. The transmission system includes a sensor target to be coupled to the gear set and to rotate with the gear set. The sensor target includes at least one target. The transmission system includes a sensor spaced apart from the sensor target by a gap. The sensor is configured to observe the at least one target of the sensor target to determine a rotation speed of the shaft.
