Method for operating a motor vehicle with a dual clutch transmission and control unit for carrying out the method
A method of operating a dual-clutch transmission of a vehicle having partial transmissions with respective transmission input shafts. Two friction clutches can couple a corresponding input shaft of the partial transmissions to a drive shaft. Both partial transmissions drive a common output shaft. In a process for starting the motor vehicle, a gear in each of the two partial transmissions is engaged and, if the starting speed of the vehicle in a primary direction is lower than a limit value, the gears in the two partial transmissions are kept engaged. If, however, the starting speed is higher than the limit value, the gear for the travel in an opposite direction in the partial transmission, not involved in the starting process, is disengaged and a follow-up gear, for the gear in the partial transmission involved in the starting process, is engaged.
CONTROL DEVICE FOR GEAR SELECTION IN AN ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN VEHICLE AND A METHOD FOR GEAR SELECTION CONTROL IN AN ELECTRICALLY DRIVEN VEHICLE
The present disclosure relates to a control system for gear selection of a transmission for an electrically driven vehicle, wherein said control system comprises a gear selection control device and a gear selection input device, the gear selection input device comprising a user input element for selectively holding a constant gear, and wherein said control system is adapted to hold a constant gear of the transmission while the user input element is activated. The disclosure also relates to a transmission arrangement, a powertrain, a vehicle and a method.
Work vehicle with coordinated electric transaxles
A work vehicle has two transaxles carried by a chassis each having wheel end units rotatable to drive ground-engaging members about wheel axes and having electric machines powering transmission configured to effect multiple gear ratios. The electric transaxles are operationally mechanically uncoupled. One or more sensors detect speed, heading, and loading characteristics of the work vehicle. A controller, having memory and processing architecture, is configured to process control to: receive from the one or more sensors input of the speed, heading, and loading characteristics of the work vehicle. The controller determines a shift pair sequence for shifting the first transmission and the second transmission based on the received input of the speed, heading, and loading characteristics of the work vehicle. The shift pair sequence defines a shift time (t.sub.S1) for shifting the first transmission and a shift time (t.sub.S2) for shifting the second transmission in which the shift time t.sub.S1 is the same or different than the shift time t.sub.S2. The controller generates a first shift command to shift the first transmission at the shift time t.sub.S1 while the second electric transaxle drives the work vehicle and generate a second shift command to shift the second transmission at the shift time t.sub.S2 while the first electric transaxle drives the work vehicle.
