An apparatus for controlling transmission of vehicle may include a determining device to determine whether to perform deceleration control, based on the vehicle and a target for the deceleration control in front of the vehicle, a calculating device to sub-divide a distance between a current position of the vehicle and the target for the deceleration control into sections, and calculate a target distance for each section of the plurality of sections and a target speed of the section, based on a current speed of the vehicle and the distance between the current position of the vehicle and the target for the deceleration control, a gearshifting stage deciding device to determine a gearshifting stage for each section of the plurality of sections, based on the calculated target speed and the calculated target distance for the section by configuring a deceleration profile for each gearshifting stage, and a control device to control the transmission for each section based on the gearshifting stage for the section.
A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A DRIVELINE OF A VEHICLE
The invention relates to a method for controlling a driveline (10) of a vehicle (1), wherein the driveline (10) at least comprise a clutch (12) and a transmission (13), where the clutch (12) is adapted to connect the transmission to an propulsion unit (11). The method comprises the steps of;—estimating (105) an upcoming clutch temperature at least dependent on an imminent drive route, and if (106) the estimated upcoming clutch temperature is above a threshold value (T);—controlling (107) the driveline (10) in a critical heat mode, wherein in the critical heat mode the transmission (13) is controlled such that a clutch temperature increase is lower in comparison to a normal driveline control mode.

This vehicle control device 10 is provided with: a current gear stage selection unit 13 which selects a current gear stage, which is the gear stage of the vehicle in the present travel state; a travel segment determination unit 15 which determines the next travel segment forwards in the direction of travel of the vehicle V; and a shift control unit 17 which, in the case that the current gear stage selection unit 13 has newly selected a target gear stage lower than the current gear stage during travel of the vehicle V in the current gear stage in the current travel segment, if the next travel segment can be traveled in the current gear stage and the amount the vehicle V will lose speed after traveling the current travel segment is less than or equal to a prescribed threshold value, controls shifting of the gear stage such that downshifting from the current gear stage to the target gear stage is suppressed and the current gear stage is maintained. Even in a state in which downshifting is suppressed, if the state of the vehicle the satisfies a prescribed condition, then the shift control unit 17 controls shifting of the gear stage so as to downshift to the target gear stage without suppression of downshifting.

A vehicle control device controls operation of a vehicle provided with a transmission having a direct gear and normal gears including an overdrive gear having a lower gear ratio than the direct gear. The device includes a travel segment determination unit which determines a forward travel segment having a different road slope from a current travel segment, a current gear position selection unit that selects a current gear position in accordance with a shift pattern, a forward gear position selection unit that selects a forward gear position based on a travel resistance of the vehicle in the forward travel segment, and a shift control unit that maintains a gear position as the direct gear while the vehicle travels in the forward travel segment, when a gear position of the transmission in the current travel segment is the overdrive gear and the forward gear position is the direct gear.

In this vehicle control device (10), which controls operation of a vehicle provided with a transmission including a direct gear and an overdrive gear, which is a gear with a lower gear ratio than that of the direct gear, a travel segment determination unit (15) determines a next travel segment which, forward in the travel direction of the vehicle, has a road slope different from that of the current travel segment where the vehicle is currently traveling. A next gear stage selection unit (16) determines a next gear stage, which will be the gear stage of a transmission in the next travel segment, on the basis of the speed of the vehicle, an equal fuel consumption map of the engine of the vehicle, and the travel resistance of the vehicle in the next travel segment estimated on the basis of the road slope in the next travel segment. The next gear stage selection unit (16) selects the next gear stage referring to different equal fuel consumption maps depending on whether the gear stage of the transmission is the direct gear or whether the gear stage of the transmission is a normal gear.
HUMAN-POWERED VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE
A human-powered vehicle control device controls the transmission to initiate a shifting operation based on a set of prescribed conditions that changes the transmission ratio of a human-powered vehicle. The control device includes an electronic controller that switches between a first control state for controlling the transmission to change the transmission ratio in accordance with a first prescribed set of conditions, and a second control state for controlling the transmission to prevent the change of the transmission ratio as compared with if the electronic controller is in the first control state. The electronic controller switches between the first control state and the second control state in accordance with a detection of at least one of a steering state of the human-powered vehicle, a surface condition of a travel path on which the human-powered vehicle travels, and a pedaling preparation state related to the pedals of the human-powered vehicle.

The first model comprises a first layer trained to map input to an intermediate state. The first model comprises a second layer trained to map the intermediate state to the state depending on the output of the second model. The method includes providing an input for the second physical model depending on at least one vehicle state and/or the route information, and determining an output of the second model in response to the input for the second model. The output of the second model characterizes limit(s) for the intermediate state.
