PADDLE SHIFTER CONTROL OF HYBRID POWERTRAIN
A vehicle comprises a hybrid powertrain includes an electric machine coupled between an automatic gearbox and an engine. The vehicle includes paddle shifters configured to output a driver requested gear change. The hybrid powertrain is configured to selectively operate in an economy mode that optimizes fuel economy. While operating in the economy mode, a controller may selectively inhibit the driver requested gear change when the change may negatively impact fuel economy. In the economy mode, the driver requested gear change may be inhibited during a demand for braking. If the driver requested gear change is a downshift request, the downshift is inhibited and simulated using electric machine torque.
Electronic control of a transmission
A recreational vehicle is provided including a power source, such as an engine or an electric motor, and a transmission having a variable gear ratio. A sub-transmission coupled to an output of the transmission includes a plurality of selectable gear configurations including park gear and at least one of a forward gear, a neutral gear and a reverse gear. An electronic controller is operative to electronically control the gear configuration of the sub-transmission in response to a set of conditions.
Vehicle speed change apparatus
A vehicle speed change arrangement that can perform automatic speed change using a manual transmission, including shift blocks such that a shift block of a reverse-1st speed, a shift block of 4th speed-5th speed, a shift block of 2nd speed-3rd speed, and a shift block of 6th speed are arranged in this sequence in a select operation direction. The arrangement also includes first to fourth shift levers for shifting the shift blocks, select actuators for selecting the first to fourth shift levers, a first shift actuator for shifting the first or second shift lever, a second shift actuator for shifting the third or fourth shift lever, a gear disengagement determination unit for determining whether a gear is disengaged when the gear engagement or disengagement is made using the first and second shift actuators, and a drive unit for driving the gear engaging shift actuator when gear disengagement is determined.
Transmission control systems to adjust clutch pressure and torque based on grade
Transmissions, control systems for transmissions, and methods of operating transmissions are disclosed herein. A transmission includes an input shaft, an output shaft, one or more clutches, and a control system. The input shaft is configured to receive rotational power supplied by a drive unit. The output shaft is coupled to the input shaft and configured to provide rotational power supplied to the input shaft to a load. The one or more clutches are coupled between the input shaft and the output shaft to selectively transmit rotational power between the input shaft and the output shaft in one or more operating modes of the transmission. Each of the one or more clutches is selectively engageable in response to one or more fluid pressures applied thereto. The control system is configured to control operation of the one or more clutches to select the one or more operating modes of the transmission.
COMPONENTS, SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF BICYCLE-BASED NETWORK CONNECTIVITY AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING A BICYCLE HAVING NETWORK CONNECTIVITY
A bicycle configurable for operating using a speed based control system and scheme or a torque based control system and scheme. A speed sensor or a torque sensor may detect an operating characteristic of the bicycle and a controller may determine whether to operate using a speed based control system and scheme or a torque based control system and scheme based on the operating characteristic. A signal from a speed sensor or a torque sensor may be used for determining the mechanical limits of a CVT range and when to incorporate an electric motor.
BICYCLE CONTROLLER AND BICYCLE TRANSMISSION SYSTEM
A bicycle controller limits decreases in the assist force when the rotational speed of a crank changes. The bicycle controller can be mounted on a bicycle including a first transmission having at least two shift stages and configured to change a ratio of rotation of a wheel to rotation of a crank, a motor that provides assistance to human power input to the crank, and a second transmission configured to transmit a rotation force from the motor to a power transmission path extending from the crank to the wheel without changing the ratio of the rotation of the wheel to the rotation of the crank. The bicycle controller includes an electronic control unit that controls the second transmission in accordance with a condition of the bicycle and either one of a condition of the first transmission and a shift instruction to the first transmission.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A WORK VEHICLE TRANSMISSION BASED ON THE DETECTION OF UNINTENDED VEHICLE MOTION
A method for controlling the operation of a transmission of a work vehicle based on the detection of unintended vehicle motion may generally include determining an intended driving direction for the work vehicle while the vehicle is positioned on a sloped surface and initiating a shifting procedure within the transmission for engaging an on-coming clutch associated with moving the work vehicle in the intended driving direction, wherein the on-coming clutch is initially engaged at an initial ramp rate. In addition, the method may include monitoring an acceleration of the work vehicle as the on-coming clutch is being engaged, determining a current travel direction for the work vehicle based on the monitored acceleration and, when the current travel direction differs from the intended driving direction, adjusting the initial ramp rate for engaging the on-coming clutch to an increased ramp rate.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
Provided is an automatic transmission with which a large impact is hardly applied to the component of the switching mechanism or the switching control circuit when the drive source is re-driven. When a drive source ENG is determined to be in the stopped state, if the position of a slider HC1 does not correspond to the position the control part
ECU instructed before the drive source ENG is determined to be in the stopped state, the control part ECU of the automatic transmission TM transmits a signal for switching a two-way clutch TW to a state corresponding to the state of a slider HC1.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
Provided is an automatic transmission with which a switching mechanism thereof is hardly damaged even if the hydraulic pressure supplied to a hydraulic pressure control circuit temporarily changes. A control part ECU of the automatic transmission TM switches the first brake B1 to the reverse rotation preventing state when a signal indicating that the slider is at a position corresponding to the reverse rotation preventing state is received while the control unit ECU recognized that it has switched the first brake B1 to the fixed state.
Electronic shifting of a transmission
A recreational vehicle is provided including a power source, such as an engine or an electric motor, and a transmission having a variable gear ratio. A sub-transmission coupled to an output of the transmission includes a plurality of selectable gear configurations including at least one of a forward gear, a neutral gear, a reverse gear, and a park gear. An electronic controller is operative to electronically control the gear configuration of the sub-transmission.
