Drive axle system and method of control
A method of controlling a drive axle system. The method may include executing a gear upshift or a gear downshift after decreasing the torque that is provided by an electric motor to a transmission of an axle assembly and increasing the torque that is provided by another electric motor to a transmission of another axle assembly.
System and method for reducing gear lash related torque disturbances
Methods and system are described for changing a driveline gear range from a lower gear range to a higher gear range. The driveline may include two electric machines and four clutches in a four wheel drive configuration. The methods and systems permit a driveline to change from a lower gear range to a higher gear range in a way that may reduce torque disturbances that may result from gear lash.

METHOD FOR OPERATING A DRIVETRAIN FOR A WORK MACHINE, DRIVETRAIN FOR A WORK MACHINE, AND WORK MACHINE
The disclosure relates to a method for operating a drivetrain for a work machine, wherein a first electric motor drives a work drive of the work machine via a first transmission arrangement, wherein a second electric motor drives a traction drive of the work machine via a second transmission arrangement, and wherein, during a shift process of the second transmission arrangement from a relatively low gear ratio stage to a relatively high gear ratio stage, the rotational speed of the second electric motor is reduced. The method according to the disclosure is distinguished by the fact that, during the shift process, a driving connection is produced between the first electric motor and the second transmission arrangement by a first clutch, such that, during the shift process, the first electric motor drives the traction drive. The disclosure furthermore relates to a corresponding drivetrain and to a work machine.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A DRIVE TRAIN FOR A WORKING MACHINE, DRIVE TRAIN FOR A WORKING MACHINE, AND WORKING MACHINE
The disclosure relates to a method for operating a drive train for a working machine, in which a working drive of the working machine is driven by a first electric motor via a first gear arrangement, a travel drive of the working machine is driven by a second electric motor via a second gear arrangement and, in a shifting procedure of the second gear arrangement, the rotational speed of the second electric motor is synchronised and the temperature of said second electric motor is recorded. In the disclosed method, the rotational speed is synchronised by supplying current to the second electric motor, and in the event of a threshold temperature being exceeded, at least one measure is carried out to relieve the thermal load of the second electric motor. The disclosure further relates to a corresponding drive train and to a working machine.
CONTROL MODULE AND CONTROL METHOD FOR A VEHICLE POWERTRAIN
Aspects of the present invention relate to a control module (15) for a vehicle powertrain. The powertrain comprises a transmission (14), an engine (12) and an electric machine (16). The control module (15) is configured to receive an input indicative of a requested upshift and in response to the received signal the control module (15) increases the torque output of the engine (12) prior to the start of the torque phase (20). As the torque output of the engine (12) increases the control module (15) decreases the torque output of the electric machine (16) such that a constant wheel torque is applied to the wheels (18) during the torque phase (20) of the upshift.

SHIFT CONTROL METHOD FOR AMT VEHICLE
A shift control method for an automated manual transmission (AMT) of a vehicle includes: when a shift operation is started, a torque of the second motor is increased so that a change in an output torque of the output shaft due to a change in a torque of the first motor is minimized while the torque of the first motor is being decreased. According to the shift control method, the increased torque of the second motor is maintained to be constant while controlling transmission release, speed synchronization, and transmission coupling. After the control over the transmission coupling is completed, the torque of the second motor is controlled so that the output torque of the output shaft follows a predetermined target torque while the torque of the first motor is controlled to be increased.
CONTROL DEVICE
When a control device allows a shift speed formed by a transmission to transition from a pre-shift shift speed to a post-shift shift speed by performing engagement of an engagement-side engagement device and disengagement of a disengagement-side engagement device, the control device allows a torque phase in which a torque-sharing ratio between the engagement-side engagement device and the disengagement-side engagement device changes to proceed by performing engagement control in which transmission torque of the engagement-side engagement device is allowed to gradually increase. During proceeding of the torque phase, the control device controls output torque of a rotating electrical machine such that a rotational speed of an input member approaches a target rotational speed determined based on a pre-shift synchronous rotational speed.
