A method of deterring biofouling of a surface comprising attaching an adduct having formula (I) or noradrenalin to the surface. Formula (I) being defined as compounds that have the formula A-L-R wherein A is i) a C6 or C10 substituted aryl ring, or ii) a C1-C9 substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl ring: L is a linking group, and R is a primary amino moiety comprising unit.

APYRASE INHIBITORS

Provided are methods of using molecules as described herein in supporting crop viability and yield, such as by protecting crops from pests. In some cases, the methods inhibit apyrase enzymes by contacting such enzymes with a compound of the formula

wherein G, Z, and R.sup.1 are as described herein.

In further embodiments, an apyrase inhibitor as described herein is used in combination with one or more pesticide to treat a crop at risk of disease.

Aryl sulfide comprising benzylamine, synthesis method and application thereof

The invention belongs to the technical field of pesticides and specifically relates to an aryl sulfide containing a benzylamine structure, a synthesis method therefor, and an application thereof. The aryl sulfide is denoted as compound I. Also provided is an agriculturally acceptable salt of the aryl sulfide. The compound represented by formula I shows excellent effects on various harmful organisms, especially spider mites represented by Tetranychus cinnabarinus, Tetranychus urticae, Tetranychus Kanzawai Kishida, Panonychus citri, etc., and can be used for controlling all kinds of harmful mites.

Use of 3-isoxazolidinones compounds as selective herbicides

Herbicidal compositions are described containing either 2-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)methyl-4,4-dimethyl-3-isoxazolidinone (2,4-DC) or 2-(2,5-dichlorophenyl)methyl-4,4-dimethyl-3-isoxazolidinone (2,5-DC). Compositions containing 2,4-DC or 2,5-DC and a second herbicide are also disclosed, where the combination does not contain both 2,4-DC and 2,5-DC. Methods of using the same compositions are also described.

Use of 3-isoxazolidinones compounds as selective herbicides

Herbicidal compositions are described containing either 2-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)methyl-4,4-dimethyl-3-isoxazolidinone (2,4-DC) or 2-(2,5-dichlorophenyl)methyl-4,4-dimethyl-3-isoxazolidinone (2,5-DC). Compositions containing 2,4-DC or 2,5-DC and a second herbicide are also disclosed, where the combination does not contain both 2,4-DC and 2,5-DC. Methods of using the same compositions are also described.
