A shifting control apparatus for a vehicle includes a stepped automatic transmission configured to switch shifting positions based on a shifting pattern stored in advance, characterized by comprising: a sensory evaluation input portion configured to accept at least one sensory evaluation made by a vehicle occupant in the vehicle with regard to traveling of the vehicle; an evaluation tendency determining portion configured to determine an emphasis tendency in the sensory evaluation with regard to a phenomenon of an evaluation target with which the vehicle occupant feels dissatisfied based on the sensory evaluation accepted by the sensory evaluation input portion; and a shifting characteristic changing portion configured to change a shifting characteristic of the stepped automatic transmission based on the emphasis tendency in the sensory evaluation with regard to the phenomenon of the evaluation target determined by the evaluation tendency determining portion so as to improve the sensory evaluation.

CLUTCH AND SPEED CHANGE DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME

A clutch that includes a friction plate; a separator plate; a clutch hub; and a piston that presses the friction plate and the separator plate, wherein the clutch hub includes a hub on which an inner peripheral portion of the friction plate or the separator plate is fitted, a tubular shaft that movably supports the piston, and an engagement oil chamber defining wall that together with the piston defines an engagement oil chamber to which an engagement oil pressure is supplied, the hub is spline-fitted on a gear of a planetary gear so as to rotate with the gear, and the tubular shaft is rotatably supported by a central shaft and is fitted by a spigot joint in the gear.

Power Transmission System for Vehicle and Manufacturing Method for the Same

A tolerance ring is formed in an inner circumference of a clutch drum at a more forward position than a spline-fitted part in a forward direction during assembly of the clutch drum to a third sun gear; thus, the tolerance ring is located closer to an axial end of the clutch drum than to the spline-fitted part. Accordingly, it becomes easier to carry out grooving to form an annular groove for housing the tolerance ring therein in the inner circumference of the clutch drum, and thereby deterioration of machinability is suppressed.

VEHICLE POWER TRANSMISSION SYSTEM AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR THE SAME

When a third sun gear is fitted into a fitting hole of a clutch drum, external circumferential spline teeth and internal circumferential spline teeth that configure a spline-fitted part start meshing with each other before a tolerance ring comes into contact with the third sun gear and the clutch drum. Accordingly, the external circumferential spline teeth and the internal circumferential spline teeth mesh with each other, thereby centering the third sun gear and the clutch drum, thus accurately assembling the third sun gear and the clutch drum without causing eccentricity thereof

CONTROL DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

An automatic transmission, which is configured such that there is no difference of rotation between a third sun gear and an intermediate shaft in a state where a second clutch is brought into a release state and a seventh speed stage is established, is provided. In the automatic transmission, at the time of a gear shift from a tenth speed stage where second and third clutches and a first brake are brought into an engagement state to a seventh speed stage where first, third, and fourth clutches are brought into an engagement state, the fourth clutch is engaged and the first brake is released to establish the seventh speed stage with the second clutch in the engagement state. Then, the first clutch is engaged and the second clutch is released to make transition to the seventh speed stage with the second clutch in the release state.

Positive-locking shifting device of a transmission

A positive-locking shifting device of a transmission connects one element of a first planetary gear set to one element of a second planetary gear set in a first shifting position and connects an additional element of the second planetary gear set to a torque-proof element of the transmission in a second shifting position. A single element of the shifting device is axially displacable between the first and second shifting positions. A shiftable operative connection between the torque-proof element of the transmission and the additional element of the second planetary gear set disposed, at least in sections, axially between the first and second planetary gear sets. The shiftable operative connection between the torque-proof element of the transmission and the additional element of the second planetary gear set intersecting a shiftable operative connection between the one element of the first planetary gear set and the one element of the second planetary gear set.

Control Apparatus For Vehicle

In a control apparatus for a vehicle, when it is not determined that a downshift to a second gear stage should be carried out and an accelerator depression amount change rate is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value when it is determined that a downshift to a first gear stage should be carried out, a single downshift command to the first gear stage is output. When it is not determined that the downshift to the second gear stage should be carried out and the accelerator depression amount change rate is larger than the predetermined value when it is determined that the downshift to the first gear stage should be carried out, a current gear stage is maintained. Therefore, a skip downshift to the second gear stage can be carried out when it is determined that the downshift to the second gear stage should be carried out.

Multi-speed transmission

A family of transmission gearing arrangements each establish at least one reverse gear ratio and between nine and fifteen forward gear ratios. A shiftable gearing arrangement establishes a variety of speed ratios between the input and a first shaft. In some embodiments, a fixed speed ratio is established upstream or downstream of the shiftable gearing arrangement. In reverse and low gear ratios, a low clutch couples the first shaft to the output. In the high gear ratios, a combining planetary gear set establishes a linear speed relationship between the first shaft, a second shaft rotating at a speed proportional to the input, and the output.

Transmission device

A transmission device, wherein the compound planetary gear mechanism increases the speed of the power transmitted to the input element and transmits the resultant power to the first and the second output elements when the fixable element is non-rotatably held stationary by the first brake; and the first and the second clutches are disposed on a side closer in the axial direction to the compound planetary gear mechanism than the first and the second planetary gear mechanisms.
