The electric drive unit additionally includes an output shaft rotationally coupled to a second gearset component in the planetary gearset, a first friction clutch configured to selectively brake a third gearset component in the planetary gearset, and a second friction clutch configured to selectively couple the first gearset component to an output shaft.

Methods and systems for a hydromechanical transmission are provided herein. In one example, the transmission system includes a hydrostatic assembly and a mechanical assembly coupled in parallel to a first and second planetary gear sets. The transmission system further includes a plurality of clutches designed to shift between two drive ranges in a set of drive ranges that includes a reverse drive range and two forward drive ranges to adjust the input to output speed ratio of the transmission.

TRANSMISSION FOR A VEHICLE
A transmission for a vehicle includes an input shaft, a planetary gearset comprising a sun gearwheel, one or more planet gearwheels, a planet gearwheel holder and a planet ring gearwheel, a first gearwheel, a second gearwheel, a third gearwheel, a fourth gearwheel and a fifth gearwheel, an output shaft, and at least two gear engaging devices which are configured to provide at least four selectable gear connections. The planet ring gearwheel is rotatably connected or connectable to the first gearwheel. A first gear engaging device is configured to be provided in a first state where it rotationally connects the second gearwheel to the fourth gearwheel and in a second state where it rotationally disconnects the second gearwheel from the fourth gearwheel. The third selectable gear connection is provided by at least setting the first gear engaging device in the first gear engaging device first state.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE TRANSMISSION
An electric vehicle transmission (7) includes an input shaft (10), an output shaft (11), a first planetary gear set (P1), a second planetary gear set (P2), and a third planetary gear set (P3). The input shaft (10) is provided for coupling to an electric machine (6). A first shift element (A), a second shift element (B), and a third shift element (C) are provided at least functionally as well. Also disclosed is a drive system (4), a vehicle drive train (5), and an electric vehicle.

Methods and systems for a hydromechanical transmission are provided herein. In one example, the transmission system includes a hydrostatic assembly and a mechanical assembly coupled in parallel to a first and second planetary gear sets. Work vehicle multi-speed drive assembly with clutch retention mechanism
A drive assembly for a work vehicle has a drive housing including at least one housing element forming a reaction member, a drive shaft rotatable about a drive axis, and a planetary gear set coupled to the drive shaft and configured to selectively rotate an output element. The drive assembly also includes at least one clutch arrangement having at least one clutch ring configured to selectively interact with the planetary gear set to effect a rotation speed of the output element. At least one actuator is configured to axially drive the clutch ring along the drive axis. A retention mechanism is configured to retain the clutch ring at an axial position along the drive axis. The retention mechanism includes a detent ball, a detent groove and a resilient member configured to urge the detent ball into the detent groove to retain the clutch ring at the axial position.
