DUST COVER
A dust cover attaches to a ball joint, and includes a body portion, a fixed portion, a seal portion, and a neck portion. The body portion includes a first body section having a minimum thickness T1, a second body section having a minimum thickness T2 that is 1.9 times or more the minimum thickness T1, and a bent section. The fixed portion is arranged on a first end side of the body portion and fastened to the socket. The seal portion is formed only of an elastic material and arranged on a second end side of the body portion, and can slide relative to the shaft portion and the knuckle. The neck portion, arranged between the body portion and the seal portion, allows the seal portion to tilt relative to the body portion. The body portion, the fixed portion, the seal portion, and the neck portion are integrally formed as a unitary component.
Accumulator
An accumulator includes a bellows 3 having a plurality of outer ridge portions and a plurality of inner annular ridge portions and configured to be capable of expanding and contracting, and a housing having a fluid supply port and fixed to one end of the bellows serving as a fixed end. An interior of the housing is partitioned in a sealed state into an inside and an outside of the bellows. The outer annular ridge portions are divided into at least a first sector and a second sector which are distributed in an expansion and contraction direction of the bellows such that the second sector is positioned between the first sector and the fixed end. The outer annular ridge portions included in the first sector have an outer diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the outer annular ridge portions included in the second sector.
ENERGY ABSORBING CONSTANT VELOCITY JOINT BOOT ASSEMBLY
A constant velocity joint boot assembly includes a flexible boot having a flexible portion extending between a first end and a second end along an axis. The first end is disposed about a portion of a constant velocity joint and the second end is disposed about a portion of a shaft assembly. The first end defines a skirt having an engineered portion that elastically absorbs and/or reflects impact energy.
DUST PROOF SLEEVE
The dust proof sleeve comprises a rubber tubular bellows part (1) with an opening at both ends for sliding onto an element fitted with the dust proof sleeve. The bellows part (1) comprises an accordion-shaped undulated wall with circumferential peaks (2) and circumferential valleys (3). The dust proof sleeve further comprises at least one reinforcement (4), which is arranged at least along a part of the circumference of the bellows part (1) and adjoins the circumferential shape of the bellows part (1). The at least one reinforcement (4) is at least partly integrated in the bellows part (1) by vulcanization. The invention further comprises a dust proof sleeve production mould and a dust proof sleeve production method.
Energy absorbing constant velocity joint boot assembly
A constant velocity joint boot assembly includes a flexible boot having a flexible portion extending between a first end and a second end along an axis. The first end is disposed about a portion of a constant velocity joint and the second end is disposed about a portion of a shaft assembly. The first end defines a skirt having an engineered portion that elastically absorbs and/or reflects impact energy.
BALL JOINT AND DUST COVER
Provided are a ball joint and a dust cover that make it possible to suppress contact of a body portion of the dust cover with the vicinity of a flange portion of a ball stud. A dust cover integrally includes: a deformable bellows-shaped body portion made of an elastic body; a fixed portion made of an elastic body and provided on one end side of the body portion; and a sealing portion made of an elastic body and provided on the other end side of the body portion. The sealing portion includes: an inner peripheral sealing portion configured to be slidable on a part of a shank portion on the opposite side of the shank portion from a spherical portion with respect to a flange portion; and a cover portion that continuously covers, in an outer wall surface of the flange portion, a radially outward tip end portion and a part of a portion that decreases in diameter from the tip end portion toward the spherical portion side.
Elastomeric seal having impact protecting protrusions
An impact resistant seal includes an annular body extending between a first end and a second end. The annular body includes a first anchor formed on the first end and a second anchor formed on the second end. The impact resistant seal includes an elastomeric section having an exterior surface which extends between the first anchor and the second anchor. The elastomeric section is expandable and contractible in response to movement of the first anchor relative to the second anchor. The impact resistant seal includes a plurality of protrusions extending radially outward from the exterior surface and extending circumferentially around the elastomeric section. Adjacent ones of the plurality of protrusions are spaced apart from one another by a predetermined spacing magnitude configured to accommodate the movement of the first anchor relative to the second anchor.
Bellows, and at Least One Disc Brake Having a Bellows
A rotationally symmetrical bellows has a first end ring and a second end ring with a smaller diameter, and multiple folds, which in a relaxed position each have two flanks running in opposite directions with respect to one another while forming a bend. The flanks extend approximately parallel to an axis of rotation of the bellows. The rotationally symmetrical bellows is designed such that in a relaxed position of the bellows, the second end ring is arranged at an axial distance to the first end ring.
RESIN BOOT
An object is to provide a resin boot that can stably exert suppression effect for rubbing noise over a long period without being influenced by rotation direction. For achieving the object, a resin boot in the present invention includes a cylindrical boot bellows portion formed such that a convex portion and a concave portion alternately continue, and the boot bellows portion includes a plurality of crossed linear grooves, on a surface of a boot slope that connects a top of the convex portion and a bottom of the concave portion.
ACCUMULATOR
