SEAL RING
The present invention provides a seal ring capable of maintaining excellent low torque generation performance for a long term. A seal ring (1) is mounted on an annular groove formed on one member consisting of either a housing having a shaft hole or a rotary shaft inserted into the shaft hole, partly projects from the annular groove and contacts a surface of other member consisting of either the housing or the rotary shaft, and slidably contacts a side wall surface of the annular groove at a non-sealed fluid side thereof, thereby sealing an annular gap between the one member and the other member. An outer diameter side (2a) of the side surface (2) of the ring to be subjected to at least the side wall surface of the annular groove is formed as an inclined surface having an inclined angle in such a way as to decrease a width of the ring from the outer diameter side of the side surface of the ring to an inner diameter side of the side surface thereof. A concave portion (3) which does not contact the side wall surface of the annular groove and communicates with an inner circumferential surface (1b) of the ring is formed on a portion of the inner diameter side (2b) of the side surface of the ring not projecting from the annular groove.

AXIAL AND RADIAL FLOATING SEALS
Floating seal assemblies having a seal element, a support band, and at least two loading springs that produce different spring forces to apply different sealing loads at the first and second sealing flanges of the seal element. The seal assembly is without a locking ring to enable the seal assembly to float along an axis of one of the components to be sealed. The different sealing loads allow the seal assembly to grip against one surface to prevent relative rotation and to enable sealing and relative rotation with another surface.
Protective Labyrinth Over Mast Seal to Protect From Water Intrusion
The present invention includes a helicopter rotor seal assembly comprising: a rotor mast having a longitudinal axis and an outer surface; a sleeve aligned longitudinally with the axis and surrounding a portion of the rotor mast, the sleeve having an outer surface, and an inner surface; an annular horizontal seal between the inner surface of the sleeve and the outer surface of the rotor mast; and an upper annular rotor mast seal affixed to the outer surface of the rotor mast and extending outwardly sufficient to cover the annular horizontal seal.

Shaft Seal Assembly
A shaft seal assembly comprises a stator configured to engage a housing and a rotor positioned within the stator. The stator may include a main body, a stator inward radial projection extending radially inward from the stator main body, and a collection groove adjacent the stator inward radial projection. The rotor may include a rotor main body and a rotor axial projection extending from the rotor main body. The rotor axial projection may be positioned adjacent a distal end of the stator inward radial projection.

Rotary seal assembly for accommodating radial deflection and tilting
In an apparatus having a housing, a housing bore, and a shaft rotatably extending through the housing bore, a rotary seal assembly which includes a seal carrier retainer connected with the housing and defining a cavity surrounding the shaft, a seal carrier positioned within the cavity of the seal carrier retainer, wherein the seal carrier is capable of an amount of radial deflection and tilting both relative to the seal carrier retainer and wherein the seal carrier is retained by the seal carrier retainer so that rotation of the seal carrier relative to the seal carrier retainer is prevented, a rotary shaft seal carried by the seal carrier between the seal carrier and the shaft, and a seal carrier seal interposed between the seal carrier and the seal carrier retainer.

U-joint seal
A universal joint includes a trunnion including an annular recess in an outer surface. A bearing cup is disposed on the trunnion and includes an inner diameter surface having a retention recess therein. A needle bearing assembly is disposed between an outer surface of the trunnion and the inner diameter surface of the bearing cup. A seal assembly is disposed at an open end of the bearing cup and includes a seal support insert including a radially outwardly protruding retention member engaged with the retention recess of the bearing cup. An elastomeric seal is molded to the seal support insert and includes a plurality of radially inwardly extending seal lips engaging the outer surface of the trunnion and a dust lip extending axially from the seal support insert and including a dust lip retention feature received in an annular recess of the trunnion.
