A maintenance-free bearing system having self-lubricating features, seals, grooves and slots for use in a cushion hitch assembly for a hitch pull scraper vehicle. An interconnected bearing linkage system having two or more horizontal two-axis combined journal and thrust bearings with self-lubricating liners therein, two or more vertical single-axis sleeve bearings with self-lubricating liners therein and one or more vertical thrust bearing with self-lubricating liners therein, that cooperate with one another to accommodate vertical and horizontal angular movement relative to one another. The vertical thrust bearings incorporate an outer seal assembly and/or an inner seal assembly with a tapered configuration that improves retention of the seal assembly during rotation.

A mechanical seal having a first seal ring, which is mounted in a receptacle of a fixed part, and a second seal ring, which is mounted in a sleeve of a rotary part having a fixing portion fixed to a rotary shaft. The second seal ring extends radially inwards relative to the fixing portion of the sleeve, above an upper ending surface of the rotary shaft. The first seal ring is disposed above the second seal ring in such a way that the sliding surfaces of the first seal ring and of the second seal ring are in mutual contact. The sliding surfaces of the first seal ring and of the second seal ring have a mean diameter that is lower than an external diameter of the rotary shaft.

A double seal includes two sliding seals. The seals can be non-pusher secondary seals (NPSS). In one embodiment, by employing an NPSS as the chamber side seal can handle large pressure reversals where the inner diameter pressure (pressure in the chamber) spikes and exceeds the outer diameter pressure that is provided between the two seals forming the double seal.

A mechanical seal has a seal ring and a mating ring that faces and slides against the seal ring and either the seal ring or mating ring is supported via a bellows on the equipment interior side of a seal cover installed on a housing, while the other rotates together with a rotational shaft; and a baffle sleeve with a roughly L-shaped cross-section is fixed on the equipment exterior side of the seal cover to guide quenching liquid to the sliding surfaces of the seal ring and mating ring, where the baffle sleeve is structurally split into a flange part and cylinder part. The mechanical seal allows for preassembly of its seal members on the stationary side, baffle sleeve, damper, and other related parts at a factory, service center, etc., in a reliable and controlled manner, requiring fewer assembly steps during onsite engineering works.

A sealing device includes a metal ring, a main lip, an annular elastic body, a sliding ring, and biasing means. The metal ring is hermetically fixed to a housing. The main lip is bonded to the metal ring and is slidably in close contact with an outer periphery surface of a rotating body inserted through an inner circumference of the housing. The annular elastic body is bonded to the metal ring on an outer side of the main lip, and stretchable in an axial direction. The sliding ring is provided at an end portion of the annular elastic body on a side opposite the metal ring, and is slidably in close contact with a seal flange attached to an outer periphery of the rotating body. The biasing means is configured to elastically press the sliding ring against the seal flange, thereby maintaining stable sealability over an extended period of time.
