Encapsulation of active ingredients and method of making
A method of preparing a silicon-containing polymeric structure coated/encapsulated active ingredient is disclosed. The method has the steps of providing an insoluble active ingredient; dispersing the active ingredient in a liquid medium to form a suspension of the active ingredient; adding a silicon-containing polymeric structure precursor to the suspension; and reacting the precursor to form the silicon-containing polymeric structure. The silicon-containing polymeric structure is formed around the active ingredient, thereby forming a silicon-containing polymeric structure coated/encapsulated active ingredient. The silicon-containing polymeric structure coated/encapsulated active ingredient may be used in place of the active ingredient itself.

COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR CONTROL OF SAND FLIES AND OTHER BLOOD SUCKING INSECTS
The invention relates to a new rapid release oral formulation of fipronil or imidacloprid for the effective control of blood-sucking insect populations. Embodiments of the invention relate to their use by incorporation into a feed-through formulation that can be administered orally to host animals such as birds, goats, dogs, and cattle for the rapid effective control of blood sucking insects. The formulation is fast acting and the residue of the chemicals present in the feces serves as a larvacide, effectively controlling newly hatched larvae.
STABILIZED ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USE
An antimicrobial composition including from about 3 g to about 10 g of a first component, from about 0.5 g to about 1.625 g of a second component, and 3786 mL of water. The first component includes from about 0.8 g to about 5 g of the following benzyl ammonium salts: from about 0.04 g to about 0.2 g of C.sub.12 dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride; from about 0.50 g to about 5.0 g of C.sub.14 dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride; and from about 0.064 g to about 0.6 g of C.sub.16 dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride. The first component further includes from about 0.8 g to about 2 g of the following ethylbenzyl ammonium salts: from about 0.02 g to about 1.3 g of C.sub.12 dimethyl ethylbenzyl ammonium chloride; and from about 0.01 g to about 0.64 g of C.sub.14 dimethyl ethylbenzyl ammonium chloride. The first component further includes from about 0.10 g to about 6 g of urea. The second component includes trichloromelamine.
