Battery Housing With Valve Device, Battery and Motor Vehicle
A battery housing includes a valve device for pressure equalization and for letting out a hot gas of a battery cell. The valve device has a valve seat in the form of a gas release opening in a housing wall of the battery housing and a valve body. The valve body closes the gas release opening when in a closed position, can be moved by a pressure-difference-induced internal pressure increase into a first open position in which the valve body reversibly opens the gas release opening to provide pressure equalization, and can be moved by a hot-gas-induced internal pressure increase into a second open position in which the valve body irreversibly opens the gas release opening to let out the hot gas.
TENSIONING DEVICE FOR A CHAIN DRIVE
A hydraulic tensioning device for a chain device, having a housing and having a clamping piston guided displaceably in a housing bore of the housing, the clamping piston having a piston cavity with a hardened inner circumferential surface, and also having a pressure relief valve unit arranged in the piston cavity. The pressure relief valve unit (12) is a preassemblable unit and includes a spring (18), a closing body (17) and a valve seat (16) and also a receptacle (15, 26) at least partially enclosing the valve seat (16), wherein the valve seat (16) is made of a metal material, has an at least partially hardened surface and wherein the receptacle (15, 26) forms a press-fit with the inner circumferential surface of the clamping piston (3).
Valve for Controlling a Gas Stream, Liquid Separator, Venting System and Internal Combustion Engine Having Such a Valve
A valve for controlling a gas stream between a first side and a second side of the valve is described. A valve opening is passage for the gas stream between the first side and the second side. A valve closure with a valve plate closes the valve opening. A valve mount is arranged toward the second side and on which the valve closure is mounted. The valve closure is pretensioned in the direction of the first side to close the valve toward the second side by the valve plate. The valve plate has an opening element which can be opened toward the first side in the event of an overpressure on the second side.
PRESSURE EQUALIZATION APPARATUS AND ELECTROCHEMICAL SYSTEM
In order to provide a pressure equalization apparatus (10) by means of which a pressure equalization can be brought about in the event of an overpressure—in particular, in an electrochemical system—and which is as simple as possible to produce, according to the invention, the pressure equalization apparatus comprises a main element (110), a sealing device (112), and a connection device (114) for connecting the main element and the sealing device, wherein the sealing device sealingly bears against the main element when the pressure equalization apparatus is in a closed state and is fixed relative to the main element by means of the connection device, and wherein a fixing connection between the main element and the sealing device which is formed thereby can be released in order to unblock a fluid connection between the interior of the pressure equalization apparatus and surroundings of the pressure equalization apparatus, and wherein the connection device comprises a spring element (150), the spring force of which acts in particular in a direction extending crosswise to an opening direction of the pressure equalization apparatus.
PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE WITH DEFLECTING DISKS FOR INFLATABLE
A pressure relief valve may comprise a housing, a disk, and a seal. The disk may be configured to deflect relative to the housing. The seal may form a sealing interface with at least one of the housing or disk. The pressure relief valve may be coupled to an inflatable slide or an aspirator.
Safety Valve
An adjustable blowdown safety valve is provided for use on a pressure vessel or a flow line with a pressurized fluid therein. In the preferred embodiment, the adjustable blowdown safety valve comprises a body with a closed bonnet and a chamber therein and an inlet and an outlet; the inlet including a valve seat; a disk member with an attached stem member closable on the valve seat; a mechanism in the body biasing the disk member to rest on the valve seat; a guide member supported in the bonnet to guide and limit disk member movement; and a skirt member affixed to the body, which surrounds the disk member and defines a uniform flow area in combination with a blowdown ring. The presented adjustable blowdown safety valve has improvements, which remove detriments to disk member movement, resulting in an adjustable blowdown safety valve with predictable performance and improved reliability.
Exhaust valve and an engine assembly including the exhaust valve having a pressure relief apparatus
An exhaust valve includes a stem extending to a valve end. The valve end includes a pressure relief apparatus. An engine assembly includes a casing defining a cylinder bore, a combustion chamber and an exhaust passage. The combustion chamber is disposed between the exhaust passage and the cylinder bore. The engine assembly also includes a piston movable in the cylinder bore. The engine assembly further includes an exhaust valve movable between a first position blocking fluid communication through the exhaust passage and a second position allowing fluid communication through the exhaust passage. The exhaust valve includes a pressure relief apparatus configured to allow fluid communication through the exhaust valve from the cylinder bore to the exhaust passage when the exhaust valve is in the first position and a predetermined pressure threshold occurs in the cylinder bore between the exhaust valve and the piston.
RELIEF VALVE
Provide is a relief valve in which the flexibility of an attaching position is higher than a conventional relief valve. In the relief valve of the present invention, a discharge hole for discharging a fluid is arranged on a side surface of a cylindrical portion which protrudes from an end surface of a head portion in a bolt-type valve body. A direction change member which changes a direction in which the discharge hole is open to an arbitrary direction is provided. In this way, the relief valve is attached to a fluid device, and then with the direction change member, it is possible to direct the fluid discharge direction to a desired direction, and accordingly, the flexibility of the attaching position of the relief valve is enhanced as compared with the conventional relief valve.
Pressure-limiting valve
A pressure-limiting valve for use in a gas line conveying a gas that includes aerosols. The pressure-limiting valve has a movable valve body, a valve seat, and a compressible coalescing medium placed therebetween. The valve body has passages and nozzle openings and the valve seat has through-holes. In the closed position, the valve functions in separator mode and in the fully open position, in impactor mode. The pressure-limiting valve according to the invention provides a more sensitive response to varying flow conditions, due to deviating surface profiles of the valve seat and coalescing medium, which provide intermediate stages of separator and impactor modes as a function of the volume of flow.
System And Method For Detecting Safe Operating Conditions And Maintained Integrity In A Pressure Safety Valve
A system for detecting safe operating conditions and maintained integrity in a Pressure Safety Valve (PSV) the valve comprising an inlet, an outlet, a valve disc controlling fluid flow between the inlet and outlet, a stem connected to the valve disc, a spring washer, and a spring in communication with the valve disc and the spring washer, a vibration sensor which detects vibration in the valve disc, an inlet pressure sensor which detects the static pressure in the inlet, a position sensor which detects the position of the valve disc transferred through the stem, a compression load cell sensor which detects the dynamic force applied on the valve spring washer by the spring, an outlet pressure sensor which detects the pressure in the outlet, a separate shock sensor adapted to determine if the PSV has popped and then activate a microcontroller.
