A high-pressure fuel pump for a fuel delivery system of an internal combustion engine includes a pressure limiting valve positioned between an outlet and an inlet of the pump. The valve includes a spring-loaded closing element and a closing body that radially holds the closing element in place, and that has a concave receiving portion configured to at least partially receive the closing element. The receiving portion has a radially outer first area with a first opening angle, and a radially inner second area with a second opening angle larger than the first opening angle. The first area and the second area are located outside of a contact region between the closing element and the closing body.

The mechanism further comprises an actuation pin retaining element for selectively retaining the actuation pin in its first position, the retaining element being engageable with the actuation pin and the housing when the retaining element is in a retaining position so as to prevent rotation of the actuation pin towards its second position, and selectively disengageable from the housing to permit rotation of the actuation pin towards its second position. A locking element is provided for selectively preventing disengagement of the retaining element from the housing.

A device and method for shutting off fluid-flow in a pipe. The device includes a moveable sealing member inside a pipeline, a longitudinal spring configured to bias against the sealing member in a first direction, and a lateral spring at an angle to the longitudinal spring wherein the lateral spring is configured to bias against the sealing member in a second direction. The device includes a housing with a passage configured to be positioned inline with a pipeline, and a sealing seat. A locking element is biased against the sealing member using the lateral spring to maintain an open position with the sealing member off of the sealing seat. The locking element is configured to move from the sealing member upon a fluid overpressure in the passage, whereby the sealing member extends into the seal seat to close off the pipeline upon the overpressure.

An aspirator air vent valve may include an air vent valve body coupled with an aspirator body and a pipe fitting. The air vent valve body may include an air vent valve air channel defined by an inner wall of the air vent valve body and disposed between the aspirator body and the pipe fitting. The aspirator air vent valve may further include a vent passage defined by a first vent wall and a second vent wall and disposed between an outer wall and the inner wall of the air vent valve body, wherein the vent passage is in fluid communication with the air vent valve air channel. The aspirator air vent valve may further include a plunger coupled with the air vent valve body.

PRESSURE RELIEF ASSEMBLY

A pressure relief assembly has a frame having a coupling structure, a valve mounting surface, a valve opening within the valve mounting surface, a vent mounting surface, and a vent opening within the vent mounting surface. The vent opening is functionally parallel to the valve opening. A valve body is sealably disposed on the valve mounting surface across the valve opening. A first detent releasably secures the valve body to the frame. The first detent is configured to release the valve body from the frame upon a minimum pressure differential across the valve opening. A vent is coupled to the vent mounting surface across the vent opening.

Expandable pilot assembly for pressure regulators

A pilot assembly is configured for use with various types of flow controls. These configurations include a manifold with an internal flow network that connects pilot valves and an adjustable orifice. The pilot valves may have a fixed and variable differential pressure. In one implementation, the manifold comprises a pair of separable blocks, one each that includes part of the internal flow network. This construction also permits the manifold to expand with, for example, and additional block for an additional pilot valve. This feature configures the manifold for use in working monitor systems or those systems that deploy multi-stage pressure regulation.

In the event that the fluid acts on an effective surface (10) of the valve body (1) with a force or a pressure above a limit value, the valve body (1) moves away from the valve seat (2). In the event that the fluid acts on an effective surface (40) of the holding element (4) with a force or a pressure above a limit value, the holding force acting on the valve body (1) decreases. In doing so, the fluid acts on the holding element (4) more strongly and/or earlier than on the valve body (1).

RELIEF VALVE WITH TESTING LOCKOUT

A relief valve has a valve body, a plunger assembly coupled to the valve body for selectively opening and closing the relief valve, and a support member secured to the valve body. A lockout lever is against the support member, forming a vertex. A spring rod is coupled to the lockout lever, and a spring is coupled to the spring rod, providing a bias force against the plunger assembly to normally close the relief valve. In a lockout position, the lockout lever is moved to pivot on the vertex against the support member to further compress the spring, which increases the bias force and, in turn, a cracking pressure of the relief valve.
