Valve for reciprocating pump assembly

A valve member for an inlet or outlet valve assembly of a reciprocating pump assembly includes a valve body and a seal member. The valve body comprises a first body surface and a second body surface that extend circumferentially about the valve body. The valve body defines a body axis and an annular cavity. The seal member is positioned at least partially within the annular cavity of the valve body such that an outer seal portion of the seal member extends between the first body surface and the second body surface of the valve body. The outer seal portion of the seal member comprises a first seal surface and a second seal surface. The first body surface, the first seal surface, and the second seal surface extend at different angles relative to the body axis.

Buoyancy assist tool

A buoyancy assist tool has an outer case and a rupture disk connected in the outer case. A sleeve is disposed in the outer case and movable from first to second position in the outer case. A rupture disk membrane of a rupture disk prevents the sleeve from moving to the second position prior to the rupture disk membrane rupturing. The outer case is configured to be connected in a well casing. A lock ring holds the sleeve in the first position.

PRESSURE RELIEF DEVICE

A pressure relief device is disclosed, such as may be used with a battery. According to one embodiment, the pressure relief device may include a pressure-retaining membrane—which may be a polymer or flexible graphite membrane—supported by a support strip. In response to a predetermined pressure on the pressure-retaining membrane, the support strip may be caused to deform, allowing the pressure-retaining membrane to open. The pressure-retaining membrane may include one or more lines of weakness to define an opening area and/or to determine the pressure conditions under which the membrane may open. One or more stress-applying devices or piercing mechanisms may be provided to cause the membrane to open.
