Temperature controlled valves
A controller opens or closes a valve in response to the ambient temperature crossing a threshold value, for example to prevent the continued supply of water to pipes that might have frozen and burst. An output shaft (4) acts on a stem of the valve to rotate it between the open and closed positions. A clock spring (8) biases the output shaft towards one of those positions but is restrained by a latch (28) until a thermal actuator (30) operates mechanically to release the latch in response to a change in temperature. The latch may be a pawl (28) acting on a ratchet gear (22) that allows the output shaft (4) to rotate in one direction but not the other. The ratchet gear (22) may be mounted on an input shaft (14), which is connected to the output shaft (4) through a gear train (16-19) to give a mechanical advantage when turning the output shaft (4) against the force of the spring (8).
NONRETURN DEVICE FOR A PIPE FOR CARRYING A FLUID
Disclosed is a nonreturn device for a pipe for carrying a fluid, includinga shut-off valve provided with actuating element including a device for accumulating/releasing potential energy, a nonreturn valve designed to maintain a pressure difference P between its inlet and its outlet, anda triggering piston, the internal volume of which is divided into two chambers by a mobile element which is equipped with an activation rod; the first and second chambers are in fluidic communication with the pipe, respectively upstream and downstream of the nonreturn valve; and the activation rod of the triggering piston is designed to be able to actuate the shut-off valve in order to move it from its inactive position into its active position if the pressure difference P drops below a predetermined threshold value, with the release of the potential energy accumulated in the device.
Valve with fail-safe mechanism
A valve for use in a coolant flow. The valve comprises a valve housing with an inlet and at least one outlet, a valve body which is rotatably received by the valve housing, an actuator for rotating the valve body, and a fail-safe mechanism which can be pretensioned rotationally. The valve body is in rotational engagement with an axially moveable coupling element, via which the valve body is releasably connected indirectly to the actuator shaft. In the event of a fault, the valve body can be decoupled from the actuator shaft by an axial movement of the coupling element. The axial movement of the coupling element also causes the fail-safe mechanism to come into rotational engagement with the coupling element in order to rotate the valve body to a predefined fail-safe position.
Shape memory alloy valve
A valve apparatus employs a shape memory alloy. In another aspect, a shape memory member acts as a lock or trigger in combination with a separate actuator or spring to move a valve. Still another aspect uses an externally mounted shape memory member to rotate a valve if an unsafe condition causes movement of the member.
Fireproof cabinet body structure and fireproof safety cabinet
Disclosed are a fireproof cabinet body structure and a fireproof safety cabinet. The fireproof cabinet body structure comprises a cabinet body, the cabinet body comprises an inner panel, a gypsum board and a keel frame, and the inner panel and the gypsum board are fixedly mounted on two sides of the keel frame. The fireproof safety cabinet comprises a cabinet body and a cabinet door, the cabinet body is provided with an air inlet and an air outlet, ventilation fire-retardant valves are mounted at the air inlet and the air outlet, an inner side of the cabinet body is provided with an air supply opening corresponding to the air inlet and an air return opening corresponding to the air outlet, and the cabinet body is provided with electrostatic grounding bolts connected with the keel frame at the top part and/or side part of the cabinet body.
CONTROL CARTRIDGE DESIGNED AS SCALDING PROTECTION VALVE
The invention relates to a control cartridge for single-lever mixer taps, comprising a housing in which a ceramic base disk and a rotatable and displaceable ceramic control disk resting on the base disk are situated. An inlet for the cold water and hot water, respectively, and an outlet for the mixed water are situated in the base disk, and the mixed water is diverted in the control disk and leaves the control cartridge via the outlet in the base disk. In order for automatic scalding protection to be integrated into the control cartridge, i.e., for the control cartridge to automatically close in the event of a scalding temperature of the mixed water, according to the invention at least one shape memory alloy (SMA) element is situated on the control disk, and takes on the temperature of the mixed water during operation of the control cartridge, and upon reaching a scalding temperature of the mixed water, expands and hereby automatically moves the control disk into the closed position in which no water arrives at the outlet, and the SMA element is supported on the one hand on the control disk and on the other hand on the housing.
A LOCKING DEVICE FOR A DAMPER ACTUATOR
The present invention relates to a blocking device (4) for a damper drive, wherein the blocking device (4) can be transferred by activation from an inoperative state into an alternative activated state. The blocking device (4) comprises a movably mounted blocking element (41) which, in a blocking position, blocks an output member (13) in a safety position. The blocking device (4) further comprises a drive element (42) which, when the blocking device (4) is activated, moves the blocking element (41) into the blocking position. The blocking device further comprises an activating element (43) which, when a blocking temperature has been exceeded, activates the blocking device (4) by an irreversible change in shape. Also disclosed are a damper drive with a blocking device, a fire protection device and a method for operating a fire protection device.
RESETTABLE VALVE
