Servo valve

A servo valve comprising first and second nozzles and first and second piezoelectric actuators arranged to control fluid flow through the first and second nozzles respectively. A first fluid flow path is defined between the first nozzle and the first piezoelectric actuator and a second fluid flow path is defined between the second nozzle and the second piezoelectric actuator. The first and second piezoelectric actuators are arranged such that applying a voltage to the first and second piezoelectric actuators causes a change in dimension thereof, which acts to open or restrict said first and second fluid flow paths respectively.

A hydraulic servo valve is described herein comprising a servovalve body with first and second nozzles and a flapper provided therein, wherein said flapper is a bimorph piezoelectric flapper and comprises: a first layer of piezoelectric material and a second layer of piezoelectric material. The servovalve further comprises means for providing a positive voltage to one of said first and second layers and a negative voltage to the other of said first and second layers, and the flapper extends longitudinally between a first end and a second end. The second end of said flapper is positioned so as to be between said first and second nozzles so that said first layer faces said first nozzle and said second layer faces said second layer.

Proportional valve

A proportional valve is provided wherein the valve has an actuating element, a compressed-air connection, a working connection, and an air-removal connection. The valve also has three valve elements arranged one after the other and each can be moved in an axial direction. A first valve element is actuated by the actuating element, a second valve element is actuated by the first valve element, and a third valve element is actuated by the second valve element. In a base position, the valve elements are spaced apart, and, within the valve, a first sealing seat effective between the first valve element and the second valve element and a second sealing seat effective between the third valve element and the housing are arranged such that by varying the position of the first valve element, different switching states can be set.
