Switchless valve position detection system
A valve without position indicating switches. Positions of the valve are detected from current magnitude measurements and current profile analytics. The current profile may be learned initially and relearned and adapted at each operation. The valve may be opened and closed by a driver that is actuated by an electrical current to control the opening and closing of the valve. The current may be regulated by a controller to open and close the valve appropriately.
Valve Actuation Systems and Related Methods
In one aspect, a valve actuation system includes a drive unit including an actuator configured to engage and move multiple valves disposed within a fluid cassette to selectively open and close each valve of the multiple valves and a positioning frame disposed adjacent the fluid cassette and along which the drive unit can be moved in three dimensions to align the actuator with a selected valve of the multiple valves.
Valve torque control system and control method thereof
A torque control system is configured to automatically determine the fully open position and fully closed position of the valve without the need of manual operation of the valve. In addition, a control unit of the torque control system can obtain a control parameter based on a driving device operation signal detected by a detection unit, and output a control command to a driving unit to change an operation parameter of the driving device, so that the torque applying by the driving device on the valve can be adjusted, therefore the torque control system of the present application can accurately output the operating torque required by the valve, so that there is no circumstances that the operating torque is too large to damage the valve or the operating torque is too small to be unable to drive the valve.
MIXING VALVE SUBASSEMBLY AND WATER HEATER INCLUDING SAME
A mixing valve assembly is disclosed. The mixing valve assembly can include a cold water connector, a hot water connector, an electronic valve system, and a tube. The cold water connector can have a through-hole configured to slideably receive at least a portion of a first tubular portion of a cold water inlet, and the hot water connector can have a through-hole configured to slideably receive at least a portion of a second tubular portion of a hot water outlet. The electronic valve system can be configured to transition a valve between an open configuration and a closed configuration such that cold water can be selectively permitted to flow from the cold water connector to the hot water connector. The mixing valve assembly can be configured to selectively permit cold water to bypass the tank of water heater.
Spool valve device and spool valve
A spool valve device includes: a housing with channels; a spool moving to change channel connection statuses; an electric actuator including an electric motor and linear-motion conversion mechanism, the motor rotating an output shaft by torque corresponding to a drive current supplied to the motor, the mechanism converting rotational output shaft movement into straight movement and applying thrust corresponding to the torque to the spool to change position; a biasing member applying biasing force to the spool against the actuator thrust; an angle detector detecting an motor output shaft angular position; a driving portion driving the motor by controlling drive current flow supplied to the motor based on a position command input and the angular position detected by the angle detector; and an abnormality determining portion calculating the spool position based on the detected angular position and determine presence or absence of operation spool abnormality.
Expansion valve
An expansion valve operable by a stepper motor, the expansion valve including a housing; a hollow shaft arranged in the housing; a valve base that supports the hollow shaft and closes the housing; a rotor that is drivable by a stator of the stepper motor; a center spool arranged within the hollow shaft and drivable by the rotor so that a rotation of the center spool is transferrable by a threaded connection into an axial movement of the center spool that opens or closes the expansion valve; and a spiral body that includes a thread turn and that is arranged about an enveloping surface of the hollow shaft and that is drivable by the rotor, wherein a stop body is arranged at the hollow shaft and movable in the thread turn of the spiral body.
Fluid assembly
Fluid assembly for use in a fluid system, having a control module including a processing unit for processing control commands into individual electrical control signals with individually adjustable control signal levels and a control signal level electrically connected to the processing unit, with a power unit, which has a power module for converting the control signals into individual electrical control currents as a function of the control signal levels and an output interface electrically connected to the power module, wherein the processing unit is designed to provide a first group of control signals in a first time interval which can be individually predetermined for each control signal and to provide a second group of control signals in a second time interval which can be individually predetermined for each control signal and follows the respective first time interval, wherein the first control signal and the second control signal are selected in such a way that the control currents in the first time interval are greater than the control currents in the second time interval.
Valve assembly
A valve assembly is adjustable in three independent ways allowing it to provide a variable input volume. The valve assembly has a base and an entrance plate. An outer guide, an inner guide and a shaft, each with a passage, are held together and the shaft is rotatable between the guides. The valve is open when the passages of the inner guide plate and shaft are aligned and closed when the passages are not aligned. The shaft RPM determines how many times per minute the valve opens. The open/closed ratio of the valve assembly determines how long the valve is open during each half revolution. The location of the shaft up or down in relationship to the inner guide determines what percentage of possible flow passes through the valve during each half revolution. The valve assembly can be used with either a gas or liquid medium.
CONTROL DEVICE FOR ACTUATOR, ACTUATOR, VALVE DRIVING DEVICE AND ABNORMALITY DETECTING METHOD FOR ACTUATOR
A control device for a WG actuator includes a feedback control unit for performing feedback control on the WG actuator in such a way that the position of a shaft detected by a position sensor gets close to a target position, and an abnormality detecting unit for providing an instruction to move the shaft in an axial direction for the feedback control unit, and for detecting an abnormality in the WG actuator on the basis of a result of a movement of the shaft, the movement being detected by the position sensor while the feedback control unit performs the instruction.
EVAPORATED FUEL TREATMENT DEVICE
An evaporated fuel treatment device is provided with an electric-operated valve, a positive-pressure relief valve mechanism and a negative-pressure relief valve mechanism. The electric-operated valve has a valve body for opening/closing a vapor passage allowing a fuel tank and a canister, and adjusts the flow rate by electrical control. The positive-pressure relief valve mechanism opens when the pressure at the fuel tank side has a value greater than or equal to a predetermined positive pressure value. The negative-pressure relief valve mechanism opens when the pressure at the fuel tank side has a value less than or equal to a predetermined negative pressure value. The electric-operated valve is configured such that the valve body is moved in the valve opening direction by the pressure at the fuel tank side that is higher, by a predetermined value, than the valve opening pressure for the positive-pressure relief valve mechanism.
