Antimicrobial inserts for stopcock medical connectors
Various embodiments of an antimicrobial insert for a stopcock medical connector are provided. More specifically, the present invention relates to an antimicrobial insert that is seated within at least a portion of the annular bore of the connector's tap, wherein fluid within the annular bore contacts the antimicrobial insert, thereby preventing microbial proliferation within the stopcock medical connector.
Firefighting Valve Assemblies, Hose Lays, Hose Packs, and Methods of Using Same
Various implementations of a firefighting valve assembly are disclosed. The firefighting valve assembly is especially suitable for fighting wildland fires. In some implementation, the firefighting valve assembly has a spatial profile that makes it easy to pack with long bundles of firefighting hose and easy to connect segments of firefighting hose as part of a hose lay. In some implementations, the firefighting valve assembly has a spatial profile that prevents it from inadvertently opening or closing when the hose is moved or pulled along the ground.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RISING STEM BALL VALVES
A ball valve system includes a body having an upstream end and a downstream end and a ball within the body between the upstream end and the downstream end, the ball being rotatable about a vertical axis to move between a closed position and an open position. The ball valve assembly includes a stem movable in an actuation direction substantially parallel to the vertical axis, the stem including a recess at a proximal portion of the stem, a guiding member extending within the recess of the stem, the guiding member being configured to prevent rotation of the stem or cause rotation of the stem, and a lubrication port in fluid communication with the recess.
BUTTERFLY VALVE ASSEMBLY
A butterfly valve assembly includes a butterfly element configured to control fluid flow through a main conduit and a manual override operable to lock the butterfly element in a fully open position or a fully closed position.

Actuation and valve mechanism
An arrangement for controlling and measuring flow. The arrangement includes a fluid control barrier and a flow-measuring apparatus upstream of the fluid control barrier. The fluid control barrier includes a pair of plates for opening and closing a pipe, and the plates are movable towards a center line of the pipe to open the pipe and produce a symmetrical flow profile for the flow-measuring apparatus.
ACTUATION AND VALVE MECHANISM
A cable drive device including an arcuate segment drive member and a cable drum having an axle to allow rotation of the cable drum. The cable drum has a cable affixed at either end of the arcuate section of the arcuate segment drive member and tautly wrapped around the cable drum. The cable drum is located between the ends of the arcuate section of the arcuate segment drive member to, in use, allow the arcuate segment drive member to be moved when the axle is rotated. The cable is located in a groove in the arcuate section and a part of the cable drum extends into the groove, and the cable drum and the arcuate segment drive member simulate a rack and pinion drive.
ELECTRONIC EXPANSION VALVE AND COOLING SYSTEM HAVING SAME
An electronic expansion valve and a refrigeration system including the electronic expansion valve are provided. The electronic expansion valve includes a valve seat, a valve needle, a drive mechanism, a planetary gear deceleration mechanism. The drive mechanism serves as an input end of the planetary gear deceleration mechanism, the planetary gear deceleration mechanism has the output inner gear ring, the output inner gear ring is fixedly connected to a screw rod of the transmission mechanism to enable the screw rod to rotate, the screw rod is in threaded connection with a nut, to convert a rotation motion of the screw rod into a linear motion.
Flow Control Valve
An example assembly includes: a valve body having a cavity therein, wherein the valve body comprises internal threads formed in a first-handed direction and an external feature; a knob having an internal feature configured to engage with the external feature of the valve body to allow the internal feature of the knob to move past the external feature of the valve body in a linear direction when assembling the knob on the valve body; and a needle disposed in the cavity of the valve body and having external threads formed in the first-handed direction and engaging with the internal threads of the valve body, the needle being coupled to the knob such that rotation of the knob and the needle results in linear movement of the needle within the valve body due to engagement of the external threads of the needle with the internal threads of the valve body.
Electrically actuated safety valve and method
An electrically actuated safety valve includes a flapper. A flow tube in operable communication with the flapper; an electric actuation system including an electric holding configuration connecting a prime mover to the flow tube. A method for operating a safety valve.
