Axial-seal butterfly valve

A valve includes a valve body having a fluid flow path extending therethrough, a valve seat located in the valve body, and a valve disc located in the fluid flow path of the valve body. The disc is rotatable between a fully open position and an intermediate position about an axis substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the disc. The disc is also translatable between the intermediate position and a fully closed position in a direction substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the disc. Such a valve may be incorporated into a fluid line of a fluid system.

One embodiment describes a seed gate assembly disposed between a seed storage tank and a seed meter. The seed gate assembly includes a gate barrier that controls seed flow from the seed storage tank into the seed meter by moving to an open position that enables seed flow from the storage tank into the seed meter and by moving to a closed position that blocks seed flow from the storage tank into the seed meter; and a first seed agitator extending substantially perpendicularly from a surface of the gate barrier, in which the first seed agitator extends into the seed storage tank as the gate barrier moves toward the closed position to dislodge clumped seeds in the seed storage tank.

A main valve for a straightway deluge valve includes a valve body (1), a valve cover (2), a diaphragm (3), a drawing piston (4), a diaphragm pressure plate (5), a drawing link (6), a valve body link (7), a valve plate link (8), a rotatable lip and a mounting hole cover (13). A piston guide is provided at a side part of the valve body (1). The drawing piston (4) is provided slidably in the piston guide along a left-right direction. When the drawing piston (4) slides along the piston guide, the rotatable lip can contact with or separate from the inner sealing end surface. The main valve for drawing the straightway deluge valve, after the valve plate (9) is opened, enables the flow passage to be close to a straightway passage, thereby reducing flow loss.

A turbine housing assembly can include a turbine housing that includes an exterior surface, an interior surface that includes a wastegate seat, and a bore that extends between the interior surface and the exterior surface; a bushing disposed at least partially in the bore where the bushing includes a bushing bore; a wastegate that includes a shaft that extends through the bushing bore to a shaft end, a shaft shoulder disposed in the bushing bore, a plug, and an arm disposed between the shaft and the plug; a ring disposed at least in part in the bushing bore between the shaft shoulder and the shaft end; and a control arm connected to the shaft proximate to the shaft end to define an axial distance between a surface of the control arm and the shaft shoulder where the ring has an axial length that is less than the axial distance.

Valve monitoring

A valve gear box has a valve monitoring function. The valve gear box is for mounting to a valve that has a fluid passageway and a gate therefor, the gear box providing a gear driven link for moving the gate between open and closed conditions of the fluid passageway, the valve gear box being in a housing that has a mounting for permitting operative connection to the valve via a mounting flange of the valve. The mounting and the mounting flange have a valve monitoring sensor operatively positioned therewith, the sensor being settable in one state when the mounting and the mounting flange are in assembled relationship to each other but being configured to change from the one state if there is a separation of the fastened connection of the mounting and the mounting flange, whereby a change in state from the one state can be used to monitor a separation of the assembled relationship of the mounting and the mounting flange and trigger an alarm condition.
