Low-emission bonnet seal

The present disclosure generally relates to sealing a bonnet in a valve system. Using novel combinations of seals and gaskets, the present systems can prevent fugitive emissions in a high pressure piping system. For example, in certain embodiments, the present systems combine spring energized seals, O-rings, and PTFE spacers in a bonnet to create a gas-tight seal in a fluid transportation system.

Cryogenic valves are disclosed. A valve for includes a valve body, a valve seat, a gland nut coupled to the valve body, and a lower spindle threadably engaged to the valve body. The lower spindle defines a first bore. The valve includes a seat disc mounted to the lower spindle and configured to engage the valve seat in a closed configuration and be disengaged from the valve seat in an open configuration. The valve includes an upper spindle defining a spring bore. A portion of the upper spindle is received in the first bore to matingly engage the upper spindle to the lower spindle such that rotation of the upper spindle causes rotation of the lower spindle. The valve includes a spring that is at least partially disposed in the spring bore of the upper spindle and is configured to bias the upper spindle to sealingly engage the gland nut.

Cryogenic solenoid valves are disclosed. A solenoid valve assembly includes a valve body that includes a valve seat. The solenoid valve assembly includes a cartridge mounted to the valve body, a plunger slidably received by the cartridge, and a seat disc holder slidably received by the cartridge. The solenoid valve assembly includes a retainer attached to the seat disc holder such that the retainer and the seat disc holder form a plunger head receiving cavity that houses a head of the plunger. The solenoid valve assembly includes a seat disc attached to the seat disc holder. The solenoid valve assembly includes an electromagnetic coil energizable to cause the solenoid valve assembly to move from a closed configuration in which the seat disc sealingly engages the valve seat and an open configuration in which the seat disc is disengaged from the valve seat.

SHAFT PASSAGE AND VALVE HAVING SUCH A SHAFT PASSAGE AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A SHAFT PASSAGE

The invention relates to a shaft passage and a valve having such a shaft passage, as well as a method for producing a shaft passage, in which the shaft (21) has at least one drive portion (24) to which a drive for controlling the shaft (21) can be connected and has a connecting portion (25) opposite the drive portion (24), to which an actuating member (64) can be connected, and an inner shaft portion (26) in the through-bore (22) extending at least partially in the through bore (22), and having an inner shaft seal (36) to which an operating pressure of a medium to be controlled by the actuating member (64) is applied, and having a fluid shaft seal (34) which extends in the direction of the drive portion (24), and which is arranged between the inner shaft seal (34) and the outer shaft seal (42), wherein the fluid shaft seal (34) is formed between the through bore (22) and the inner shaft portion (26) of the shaft (21) and is pressure-relieved against an operating pressure of the medium to be controlled.

Valve device and method for manufacturing valve device

A valve device includes: a housing; a valve element; a rotatable shaft that rotates the valve element; a seal member that is slidably in close contact with an outer peripheral surface of the rotatable shaft to limit penetration of gas through a gap between the rotatable shaft and the housing; and a mounting ring that is shaped in a ring form and mounts the seal member to the housing. The mounting ring has: a ring portion, a one-side plate portion and an opposite-side plate portion which are formed from a single continuous plate material. The one-side plate portion and the opposite-side plate portion clamp the seal member therebetween and are joined together through the ring portion.
