Winch boom and method for trenchless replacement
A pipe replacement system and method are shown. Configurations are shown that include a pulley that does not damage a bursting tool, as the bursting tool is pulled into a pit. Configurations are also shown that include a boom that does not need an extraction cage for the bursting tool.
ASSEMBLY, RETRIEVING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR RETRIEVING PIPING FROM A WELL
An assembly for retrieving piping from a well may include a cylindrical housing having a central aperture extending through the cylindrical housing along a central axis thereof. The assembly may include a retrieving device. The retrieving device may include a first securing mechanism having a first cylindrical profile and a first diameter, the first securing mechanism may be configured to axially secure a first type of piping comprising a first outer diameter. The retrieving device may include a second securing mechanism having a second cylindrical profile and a second diameter, the second diameter may be larger than the first diameter and the second. securing mechanism may be configured to axially secure a second type of piping comprising a second outer diameter.

Cable puller and method of use
A cable puller and a related method of use are provided. The cable puller includes a frame, a winch mounted to the frame, a frame mount and one or more redirection pulleys that guide a cable. The mount is mountable to an arm of a piece of equipment, e.g., excavator, backhoe, loader, etc., and configured to allow manipulation and tilting of the frame to align the redirection pulley at a level and orientation relative to an underground tubing that is to be decommissioned and/or replaced. A deflection plate can be joined with the frame forward of the pulley to protect the pulley if the cable draws a portion of the underground tubing toward it. A splitting wedge can be joined to the frame to fracture underground tubing drawn toward the plate or pulley. Related methods of use also are provided.

Mid-pipe pulling device systems and methods
Techniques for implementing and/or operating a pipe deployment system including pipe deployment equipment, in which a pipe drum having spooled thereon a pipe segment is to be loaded on the pipe deployment equipment, and a pulling device to be secured to an unspooled section of the pipe segment to enable pulling force to be exerted thereon. The pulling device includes a first device leg, a second device leg parallel to the first device leg, and a device base extending between and secured the first device leg and the second device leg such that the device base is perpendicular to the first device leg and the second device leg and the device base is raised relative to a bottom surface of the first device leg and a bottom surface of the second device leg, in which the unspooled section of the pipe segment is to be disposed on the device base.
Pipe heating systems and methods
Techniques for implementing and/or operating a system that includes a flexible pipe, which is formed into a pipe coil, and a pipe heating apparatus. The pipe heating apparatus includes a bore device to be moved to a target position within the pipe bore of the flexible pipe to facilitate isolating a segment of the flexible pipe from a remainder of the flexible pipe, one or more heating conduits connected to the bore device such that the one or more heating conduits are disposed in an upstream region of the pipe bore behind the bore device, and one or more heat sources to be connected to the bore device via the one or more heating conduits to enable the one or more heating conduits to heat the segment of the flexible pipe to facilitate unwinding the segment of the flexible pipe from the pipe coil.
PIPE LOOSENING DEVICE AND METHOD
A pipe loosening device and methods are shown. In one example, the pipe loosening device enables a method wherein a pipe to be replaced is deformed but not burst, and a portion of a sidewall of the pipe is forced outward into the surrounding soil to compact a local region of the surrounding soil and loosen the existing pipe. The pipe may then pulled from the ground along an axis of the pipe.
