Anti-pathogenic methods
The protection of plants and human and non-human subjects from pathogens enables a multivalent approach to inhibiting pathogen infection in plant and human and non-human animal subjects and to ameliorate damage to susceptible subjects. A method for protecting a subject from a disease associated with infection by a pathogen includes providing cells of said subject with a Class I defensin and a permeabilizing defensin or a precursor or a functional homolog, analog, derivative or variant thereof of either or both.

Fragrant horticultural care composition
This invention relates to aqueous plant treatment compositions that improve the environmental experience of the consumer and industrial grower while contributing to the health of plants. Compositions of the invention include mixtures of naturally sourced fragrances, plant sourced micronutrients, plant sourced pesticides, naturally sourced emulsifying agents, and odor sequestering agents. Compositions are combined as solutions that may be disposed onto soil, plant foliage, or onto cellulosic substrate to reduce or eliminate the malodors of plant treatments as from previous organic fertilizers or from pesticides, while imparting a pleasant post treatment fragrance.

Snake Deterrent Composition
A snake deterrent composition for repelling snakes from a person or area includes a Tagetes that is between 8.0% and 12.0% of the ingredients on a volume/volume basis. Each of a Dracaena trifasciata, a Cymbopogon, a Salvia Rosmarinus, an Ageratina, an Ocimum gratissimum, and a Cinnamomum verum are also between 8.0% and 12.0% of the ingredients on the volume/volume basis. The volume/volume basis is determined by a total volume of the ingredients. Each of a Turnera ulmifolia, a Nicotiana tabacum, an Artemisia absinthium, and a Tulbaghia violacea are between 3.0% and 7.0% of the ingredients on the volume/volume basis.
