Conduits for transporting fluids

A conduit for transporting a fluid comprises a first collar, a second collar, and a bellows. The bellows comprises a corrugated inboard ply , a first corrugated outboard ply, an interstitial space, interposed between the corrugated inboard ply and the first corrugated outboard ply, and a second corrugated outboard ply within the interstitial space. The first corrugated outboard ply and the corrugated inboard ply are hermetically coupled to the first collar and the second collar. The conduit additionally comprises a first sensor, communicatively coupled with an interstitial space. The second corrugated outboard ply is not hermetically coupled to the first inner collar portion or the second inner collar portion.

Battery system with elastic hose

A battery system having a hose made from an elastic material. The hose is designed to be fitted on a hose connection by pushing a hose endpiece of the hose over the hose connection. The hose endpiece is designed to be fastened on the hose connection by a hose clip that is arranged in a fitting region of the hose endpiece. The hose endpiece has at least one thickened area which protrudes from the outer side of the hose. The thickened area protrudes from the outer side of the hose to such an extent that a hose clip suitable for fastening the hose on the hose connection is held on the hose endpiece by the thickened area with respect to the influence of gravity in the longitudinal direction of the hose endpiece. The hose may have multiple branch-off points.

A transfer device having an active member 10 comprising a main body 12 having an inlet 14 and an outlet 16 that can communicate with one another such that material may pass therethrough by means of a moveable/extendable conduit 18 moveable between a stowed configuration in which the inlet 14 and outlet 16 are not directly linked and an extended configuration in which the conduit extends between the outlet 16 and inlet 14 and in which the outlet 16 and inlet 14 are in communication with one another via the conduit 18 and material may pass therebetween via the conduit 18.

Formed hose with different fiber-reinforced regions

Formed hose configurations are provided which include an innermost elastomer layer, a first fiber-reinforcement region, and multiple second fiber-reinforcement regions. The first fiber-reinforcement region has a first fiber-reinforcement density, and is disposed, at least in part, at a bend region of the formed hose, and the multiple second fiber-reinforcement regions have a second fiber-reinforcement density, and are disposed at least at the first and second end regions of the formed hose. The second fiber-reinforcement density is greater than the first fiber-reinforcement density, and results in the first and second ends of the formed hose being less radially-deformable than the bend region of the hose. This facilitates providing a mechanical fluid-tight connection with a hose barb fitting when the formed hose is slid over the hose barb fitting, absent any clamp over the formed hose and hose barb fitting connection.

IRRIGATION PIPE LINER
20180363833 · 2018-12-20 · ·

A pipe liner for lining a fluid-carrying pipe, the pipe liner comprising an elongated flexible conduit and a flexible flange. The flexible conduit includes an outer wall forming an open-ended central channel for allowing fluids to be pumped therethrough. The flexible flange extends radially from one end of the elongated conduit and includes a number of fastener holes. The flexible conduit and the flexible flange are configured to be collapsed and pulled through the pipe such that the flexible flange can be connected to a rigid flange of the pipe via the fastener holes. The pipe liner is less prone to leak and is easier to transport and install.
