Wedged protrusion profile fitting seal systems and methods

Techniques for implementing a pipeline system including a pipe fitting, which includes a fitting shell that define a fitting bore and a tubing cavity around the fitting bore. The tubing cavity interfaces with pipe segment tubing to facilitate fluidly coupling the fitting bore to a pipe bore. The fitting shell includes a seal groove that is recessed into a fitting shell surface that facilitates defining the tubing cavity. The pipe fitting includes a belt seal having a multisided axial cross-section profile, in which the belt seal is to be disposed in the seal groove to implement a fitting seal in the pipe fitting that includes a protruding portion having a wedge-shaped axial cross-section profile that protrudes beyond the fitting shell surface into the tubing cavity to facilitate sealing a fluid conduit implemented in an annulus of the pipe segment tubing in the tubing cavity of the pipe fitting.

Leak-proof connection fitting

An apparatus and process by which a leak-proof connection with a polymeric tube is described herein. Particular embodiments of the present invention include a leak-proof connection fitting inserted into a bore of a overmolded attachment piece wherein the overmolded attachment piece is overmolded onto the polymeric tube. The leak-proof connection fitting includes multiple surfaces in various configurations. The multiple surfaces include barb(s), raised surface(s), reduced surface(s), and channel(s). O-rings may be further added to the leak-proof connection fitting. In some embodiments, the overmolded attachment piece or the tube itself is secured to the fitting by shape memory.

PLASTICS PIPELINE WITH A SUPPORT SLEEVE

The invention relates to a plastics pipeline comprising at least one pipeline end (1) and at least one support ring (2). It was the underlying object of the invention to improve a plastics pipeline of the type described at the outset in such a way that the support sleeve or the support ring (2) remains firmly connected to the pipeline even in the event of the plastics pipeline being stored in the presence of high air humidity and temperature. This object is achieved by virtue of the fact that the blow molded pipe section (1) runs through the support ring (2) and, as viewed radially, is pressed from the inside outward against the support ring (2), wherein the pipe section (1) engages around the support ring (2), such that the support ring (2), with its outer surface, and the pipe section (1), with its outer surface, are substantially in alignment.

The stop ring has a first inner contour on a side opposite the pressing area and as a first circular segment and a second circular segment, which extends over a smaller part of the first inner contour than the first circular segment. The stop ring has a constant cross-section in the region of the first circular segment and an element arranged in the region of the second circular segment which projects inwardly beyond the constant cross-section of the first circular segment and causes a tilting of an axis of symmetry of the pressing sleeve.

One aspect of the invention provides a method including: obtaining a kit as described herein; advancing a cut end of the length of CSST over the nipple of the fitting; placing the crimping jaw over the cut end of the length of CSST and the fitting such that: the one or more alignment bosses are seated within the one or more alignment grooves; the one or more crimping points are seated within one or more of the corrugation valleys; and the one or more crimping points and the corrugation valleys are radially over the one or more annular corrugation grooves; and applying force to the crimping jaws, thereby forming a gas-tight seal between the cut end of the CSST and the fitting.

Disclosed is a pipe connecting apparatus includes: a connector including a large diameter part having a hollow, into which a pipe is inserted, therein and in which at least any one of opposite ends of the hollow has a larger inner diameter such that an accommodation space is formed inside the one end of the hollow, and a pressing part continuously formed along a lengthwise direction of the large diameter part in a direction in which the pipe is inserted, having a smaller diameter than the large diameter part, and formed to surround an outer peripheral surface of the pipe; a ring-shaped sealing member provided in the accommodation space and surrounding the pipe on the outside of the pipe; and a grip member provided in the accommodation space to be adjacent to the sealing member.

Pipe joint

A method and apparatus for creating a joint between tubulars such as tubing, pipes, casing and liner for location in a well bore. A connector (16) in the form of a sleeve is located over the ends of each tubular (12, 14) and the ends of the tubulars are morphed onto the sleeve to provide a metal to metal seal. In an embodiment the sleeve (16) is morphed onto the ends of the tubulars (12, 14). The connector may also have a profiled inner surface with circumferential grooves (266) and a sectioned locating groove (90) to provide axial and torsional load bearing capacity.

A press fitting for a pipe connection is provided. The press fitting comprises a fitting body for connecting the press fitting to a pipe, a substantially cylindrical pressing sleeve fixed to the fitting body and having a pressing area, and a stop ring fixed to the pressing sleeve and limiting the pressing area in an axial direction of the press sleeve. The stop ring has a substantially cylindrical inner contour with protruding first regions and second regions receding from the first regions. The first areas of the first stop ring encompass an outer contour of the pressing sleeve in a clamping manner. The second areas of the stop ring are spaced from the outer contour of the pressing sleeve.

High pressure pipe coupling construction, as well as method for forming said coupling construction

A high pressure pipe coupling construction includes at least one high pressure pipe (2) as well as a coupling (22) connected to the pipe (2). The pipe consists a reinforcement layer (4) of helically arranged fibers (6, 7) and the coupling (22) consists an inner sleeve (23) sealed with respect to the inner surface of the pipe and at least one metal outer sleeve (9). The metal outer sleeve (9) has an overlapping outer sleeve part (29) overlapping the inner sleeve (23) in axial direction and a protruding outer sleeve part (25) protruding in axial direction with respect to the inner sleeve (23), which overlapping outer sleeve part (29) and protruding outer sleeve part (25) are connected to the outer surface of the pipe (2). The inner sleeve (23) consists of a plastic material; at the location of overlap between the inner sleeve (23) and the pipe (2), the maximum outer diameter of the inner sleeve (23) is smaller than or equal to the minimum inner diameter of the pipe (2).

Crimp Fitting for Medical Gas Piping and Method of Use

A crimp fitting has a monolithic and homogeneous female socket configured to receive and be crimped to an end portion of a tube. The socket comprises an annular wall and an axial opening. The annular wall comprises at least one internal shoulder that protrudes radially inward from the annular wall. A seal ring in the female socket has a C-shaped cross section and is configured to be arranged around the end portion of the tube to be joined with the fitting. The C-shaped seal ring compresses against the internal shoulder after the fitting is crimped with the tube with the C-shaped seal ring arranged around the end of the tube.
