Hydrant shoe assembly
Example aspects a hydrant shoe assembly and a method for assembling a hydrant shoe assembly are disclosed. The hydrant shoe assembly can comprise a shoe body defining a shoe body outer surface and a shoe body inner surface, the shoe body inner surface defining a void, the void defining an inlet end and an outlet end, an opening extending from the shoe body inner surface to the shoe body outer surface, the opening oriented proximate to the inlet end; a harness received in the void, the harness defining a harness inner surface and a harness outer surface, a protuberance extending radially outward from harness outer surface, the protuberance engaging the opening; and a pipe extending into the void through the inlet end, the harness inner surface engaging the pipe.
Pipe Gasket Seal Assist
Pipe sections are often connected together with a spigot end received within a bell end and a gasket provided there between. An assist may be helpful to apply at least a tension if not move the gasket towards a gap between the bell end and an exterior surface of the spigot end of the two pipe portions, and/or against the exterior surface of the spigot end so as to improve the likelihood of an adequate seal.
COMPRESSIBILE SEAL FOR PIPE CLAMP
A seal includes a sealing ring constructed with a first portion folded over a second portion so as to define at least one inner annular space bounded by the first and second portions. At least one hollow portion is at least partially annular, and is formed in the sealing ring in at least one of the first portion and the second portion.
Flow Path Member, Flow Path Unit, And Liquid Ejecting Apparatus
A flow path member coupled to a pipe including a first-flow path includes a coupling member including a coupling surface provided with a recessed portion that the pipe is inserted and a second-flow path communicating with the first-flow path and an opening provided in a bottom surface of the recessed portion, and an elastic member that is inserted into the recessed portion and is provided with a through hole that the pipe is inserted. The elastic member includes a first-seal portion being in contact with the pipe and a second-seal portion being provided apart from the bottom surface and being in contact with the coupling member. Between the second-seal portion and the bottom surface, a gap is provided between an outer circumferential surface of the elastic member and an inner circumferential surface of the recessed portion, and the gap communicates with the second-flow path.
UNIVERSAL FEMALE CONNECTOR
A universal female connector includes a body having a first path and a second path which communicates with the first path. A movable unit is movably located within the first path and includes an elongate hollow part with a first seal received therein. Multiple heads are movably attached to the elongate hollow part. A valve unit is located in the second path of the body. A button unit is movably inserted into a hole transversely defined through the body to position the elongate hollow part in the body. When a male connector is connected to the elongate hollow part and pushes the first seal, the elongate hollow part with the beads are moved and positioned by the button unit to communicate the first and second paths. When the button unit is pushed, the movable unit moves to its initial position, and the male connector is removed from the movable body.
Device for coupling a rigid male endpiece to a flexible female pipe, and production method therefor
A fluid-transfer coupling device designed to couple a rigid male endpiece to a flexible female pipe and to the production method therefor. The device includes a sleeve for gripping around the pipe and locking the endpiece, the sleeve having a radially inner part surrounding an annular sealing lining mounted in abutment on the endpiece; and a metal socket having a tubular portion gripped by the pipe and ending in a collar formed by a radial step which extends in an axial end and has a radial height, the axial end being mounted inside and in contact with the radially inner part and forming the base of a groove receiving the lining, the device comprising means for fitting the sleeve to the collar and comprising a continuous peripheral projection formed in one piece with the sleeve. According to the invention the projection projects radially in abutment against the step aver most of the radial height.
Pressure-energized probe seal for female hydraulic coupling member
A probe seal for a female hydraulic coupling member has both internal and external pressure-energized seals. The outer wall or opposing ends of the seal have one or more pressure-energized seals for sealing between the body of the probe seal and the body of a coupling member in which the probe seal is installed. Annular, L-shaped, T-shaped or angled grooves in the inner wall of the seal form cavities and sealing projections that can be urged in an inward, radial direction by fluid pressure within an associated cavity to increase the sealing effectiveness between the body of the seal and the probe of a male hydraulic coupling member inserted in the receiving chamber of the female coupling member.
PIPE JOINT SEAL FOR POLYMER PIPING
A seal assembly is configured for use at PVCO pipe junctions. The seal assembly includes a main seal body made of a monolithic resilient material, such as rubber, and a stiffener. The seal has a stiffener pocket sized and configured to accept the stiffener, such that the stiffener can be assembled to the seal body by hand. This assembly can then be installed into the bell end of a first PVCO pipe, and a spigot end of a second PVCO pipe may then be inserted into the bell end and engaged with a main sealing lobe of the seal assembly. The seal assembly is configured to reliably withstand the insertion process, without damage or degradation to the sealing structures. Once installed, the seal assembly provides a robust fluid-tight seal along all potential leak paths between the seal assembly and the first and second pipes.
