Sealing joint for low pressure pipe systems and method of manufacture
A method and sealing gasket are shown for providing a sealing joint between a spigot section and a socket section of low pressure plastic pipe, such as drain waste vent pipe that require a minimum of tools and operational steps to complete. The sealing gasket is installed in one of the sections to be joined and the spigot section is inserted within a mouth opening of the socket section with the sections being pressed together in a single operation, thereby forming both the joint and the seal. The sealing gasket is a composite gasket made with one section of a hard plastic material and one section of a thermoplastic elastomer material. No glue or adhesive is required.
Interlocking face seal assemblies and related methods
Supported face seal assemblies and related methods are disclosed. The supported face seal assemblies have spring energized seal element supported by a backing ring. When the two components are joined, they form an interlocking face seal assembly that is less prone to separate during installation and/or service. The methods disclosed include the steps of forming a spring energized sealing element with a convex outer surface, forming a backup or support ring with a concave inner surface, assembling the sealing element into the inner bore of the backup or support ring such that the concave inner surface accepts a portion of the convex outer surface and the sealing element is retained within the backup or support ring.

APPARATUS FOR DUCT CONNECTION
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for connecting to the end of a duct, the apparatus comprising: an outer ring having a central axis (C) and an inner surface extending between a first axial end and a second axial end of the outer ring; and an inner ring positioned within the outer ring and having a central axis (C) and an outer surface extending between a first and second axial end of the inner ring. A gap is provided between the outer surface of the inner ring at its first end and the inner surface of the outer ring at its first end, the gap extending in the direction of the second ends of the inner and outer rings.

Plug-in-connection between a connecting part and a plug-in-part
A plug-in connection between a connecting part and a plug-in part, which are configured to be plugged into one another in an axial direction of the plug-in connection, is provided with a sealing groove disposed between connecting part and plug-in part. A sealing ring is disposed between the connecting part and the plug-in part in the sealing groove. The sealing ring is supported in the sealing groove by the connecting part and by the plug-in part, respectively, in a radial direction of the plug-in connection and exerts a sealing pressure in the radial direction. The sealing ring has an omega-shaped cross section with a rounded body portion having an open side and with supporting legs connected to opposed ends of the rounded body portion at the open side of the rounded body portion. The open side of the rounded body portion faces outwardly in the radial direction.

Pipe joint
A pipe joint for joining pipe sections via a receiving recess at one end of the first pipe section including a first groove formed in an internal wall of the receiving recess and accessible via a transverse insertion passage, a plurality of axially spaced-apart second grooves formed in an external wall of a connection end of the second pipe section, and an elongate flexible anchoring strip including a plurality of axially spaced-apart anchoring portions placeable in respective ones of the second grooves, wherein, once the first and plurality of second grooves have been brought into alignment upon insertion of the connection end of the second pipe section into the receiving recess, the anchoring strip is inserted from outside the first pipe section into the first groove and plurality of second grooves so as to be seated therein, thereby uniting and axially locking together the first and second pipe sections.
Seal for range of pipe diameters with interlocking layers
A pipe coupling includes a clamp housing and a seal assembly mounted in at least one end of the clamp housing. The seal assembly includes an outer sealing layer connected to an inner sealing layer with interlocking mating structures that abut against each other in radial and axial directions and prevent the inner and outer sealing layers from separating from each other in the radial and axial directions.
