No-Crimp Valve Assembly
A no-crimp valve assembly employs a fitting which has an enlarged outer portion and a coaxial inner portion of reduced diameter. An axial groove is formed between the outer portion and the inner portion for receiving the end of a polymer pipe. A nut retainably receives a split ferrule. The split ferrule has a serrated inner surface. The nut is threaded to the outer threaded surface of the outer portion and the ferrule is compressed against the outer surface adjacent the end of the pipe to form a fluid tight connection and the inner surface of the pipe engages the reduced surface of the inner portion. In some embodiments, the inner portion carries one or more sealing rings or has a serrated or stepped inner surface which engages the inside surface of the pipe.
PIPE COUPLING
A pipe coupling including an externally threaded body and an internally threaded nut. The nut's outer end includes an outwardly converging internal circular surface and a spacer is co-operable with the nut and body. The coupling further includes an O-ring and a deformable gripping member. The gripping member has an internal surface with barbs extending radially inwardly therefrom. An end of a pipe is insertable through said gripping member, spacer and O-ring into the body. Tightening of the nut causes axial movement of said spacer, sealing engagement of said O-ring to the body and pipe, and radially inward deformation of said gripping member such that said barbs clamp the pipe. The diameter of the O-ring is greater than that of the spacer at points where it is secured before tightening of the nut and less than that of the spacer when the nut has been tightened.
Apparatus and method for removing impurities from water or wastewater
An air grid for supplying air under pressure. The air grid may be used as an air scour system for a filter for removing at least some impurities (e.g., foreign matter of any nature including a solid, a liquid or a gas) from water or wastewater or as an aerator for aerating wastewater in an aeration tank or basin. The air grid includes an adapter for permitting in field adjustment of one or more components (e.g., drop pipe) of the air grid. Preferably, the adapter houses a portion of an air supply header and a portion of a drop pipe such that the air supply header is disposed above the drop pipe. The adapter may include a detachable sealing assembly. A tool may be provided for inserting and/or removing one or more components of the air grid from the operation environment.
FITTING DEVICE FOR MAKING CONNECTION TUBE
A pipe-fitting device according to the present invention includes a fitting body, a fixing nut, and a collet. A first end of the fitting body is rotatably connected to an outer circumferential surface of a first pipe, and a second end of the fitting body surrounds an outer surface of a second pipe. A first end of the fixing nut is rotatably connected to an outer circumferential surface of the fitting body, and a second end of the fixing nut surrounds the outer surface of the second pipe. The collet is provided inside the fixing nut and presses the second pipe when the fixing nut is rotated and tightened. The collet includes a seating portion provided inside the fixing nut, a bending portion in which a bending groove is formed, a pressing portion which presses and seals the second pipe, and a protecting portion which protects the pressing portion.
FITTING DEVICE FOR MAKING CONNECTION TUBE THAT CAN FINE POSITION ADJUSTMENT OF THE TUBE
A tube fitting device for facilitating tube connection position determination includes a fitting body, a pair of fixing nuts, and an O-ring. The fitting body has a cylindrical channel portion into which a first tube and a second tube may be inserted, the cylindrical channel portion comprising an accommodation groove formed therein. Each fixing nut is rotatably coupled to a respective open end of the fitting body and surrounds the first tube and the second tube, respectively. The O-ring is mounted on the accommodation groove and has an inner diameter smaller than that of the cylindrical channel portion such that the inner surface of the O-ring protrudes inside the fitting body to facilitate determining positions of the first tube and the second tube to be inserted into the cylindrical channel of the fitting body.
CONDUIT CONNECTION WITH SENSOR
Apparatus and method for mechanically attached connections of conduits may include a conduit gripping member, a drive member, and a seal member, the drive member causing axial movement of the conduit gripping member to indent into an outer surface of the conduit when the assembly is pulled-up, the drive member causing the seal member to form a zero clearance seal at a location that is axially spaced from the conduit gripping member. The zero clearance seal may comprise a face seal arrangement including a gasket, and the conduit gripping member may be a ferrule, ring or other device that can grip and optionally seal against the conduit outer surface. The assembly may include a sensing function for detecting or sensing a characteristic or condition of an assembly component or the fluid or both. In one embodiment, a body coupling member has a two piece construction of a main body and a conduit socket insert. A flared fitting embodiment is also provided. Sensing functions are also incorporated into fittings other than just zero clearance fittings.
Pipeline Connecting Device for Quick Installation and Disassembly and Self-Locking and Self-Sealing
The invention discloses a pipeline connecting device for rapid installation and disassembly and self-locking and self-sealing, which is used for the connection of water pipes, including a thread compression sealing mechanism and a metal circlip self-locking and disassembling mechanism, said metal circlip self-locking and disassembling mechanism includes a metal circlip. The thread compression sealing mechanism includes a threaded base, a threaded upper cap and a sealing ring. The water pipe extends into the threaded base through a threaded upper cap. With the aforementioned structure, the pipeline connecting device for rapid installation and disassembly and self-locking self-sealing according of the present invention, the threaded base is installed at the outlet of the water pump, and the quick installation and disassembly of the water pipe are achieved, and the self-locking and self-sealing effects are achieved at the same time.
Conduit connection with sensor on a threaded body
