Locking Pipe Joint Assembly, Device and Method
A locking pipe joint assembly, device and method can employ a center body connector, one or more sealing elements, such as a wiper seal and a sealing ring, a sealing ring retainer and a retaining cap. In various embodiments, primary and secondary fastening rings are employed along with a retaining cap sleeve. In embodiments, the retaining cap includes an internal or external thread that mates with an external or internal thread on one side of the center body connector, which allows the retaining cap to tighten the packing arrangement components around an inserted piping or tubing element, and in secure engagement with the interior of the center body connector. In embodiments, a bolt element is provided for further securing of the retaining cap to the center body connector.
FITTING FOR PIPES AND RELEVANT PIPE CONNECTING METHOD
A fitting for a pipe is disclosed. It includes a main body for internally accommodating the pipe, fastening means able to be tightened to the main body, a deformable annular sealing gasket and a blocking ring nut which can be positioned within the fitting between the main body and the fastening means, respectively, to ensure the sealing of, and block in firm position, the pipe, at least when the fastening means are tightened to the main body, the blocking ring nut being elastically deformable in radial direction. The fitting also has means for retaining in a widened position at least the mouth section of the annular sealing gasket, with an inner diameter greater than the outer diameter of the pipe.
PIPE CONNECTOR
A pipe connector for connecting pipes in a pipeline. The connector may include an outer body defining a cavity; a gripping ring supported in the cavity, the gripping ring defining a gap to allow the gripping ring to decrease in diameter to engage one of the pipes, a pin releasably positioned in the gap for selectively maintaining the gap, an end nut defining a nut bore receiving the gripping ring, and a seal supported in the cavity. The end nut being configured to move axially inwardly relative to the outer body to compress the seal and cause at least the first gripping ring to engage the one of the pipes upon release of the pin.
Fitting for pipes and relevant pipe connecting method
Fitting for at least one pipe, having a main body for internally accommodating said at least one pipe, fastening means able to be tightened to the main body, at least one deformable annular sealing gasket and at least one blocking ring nut which can be positioned within the fitting between the main body and the fastening means, respectively, to ensure the sealing of, and block in firm position, the pipe, at least when the fastening means are tightened to the main body, the blocking ring nut being elastically deformable at least in radial direction. The fitting also has means for retaining in a widened position at least the mouth section of the at least one annular sealing gasket, with an inner diameter greater than the outer diameter of the at least one pipe.
COUPLING FOR CONNECTING PIPE ENDS AND BRIDGING FOR USE IN A COUPLING
A coupling for connecting pipe ends, comprising a hollow body with an entrance for each pipe end provided with a radial seat for a pipe end and a coupling nut for clamping the pipe end, whereby an electrically conductive bridge is provided, which at the location of the seats is provided with a clamping element that is elastically deformable in the radial direction with respect to the respective seat, and is provided with a contact section, which in a rest situation is at a distance from the axis of the seat that is smaller than an outside radius of the pipe end for which the seat concerned is intended.
Tube connector systems
A connector system includes a fitting body (104) and a union nut (106). A cutting ring (102) is disposed proximate within the fitting body and union nut. The cutting ring includes a first end (136) engaging with the fitting body and having at least one cutting edge, a second end engaging with the union nut, and a radially extending collar (140) disposed between the first end and the second end. The collar having an annular radial surface facing the first end and an annular groove (144) is defined within the radial surface. A cylindrical outer surface having a first diameter is disposed between the radial surface and the first end, and a transition area is defined from the outer surface towards the radial surface. The transition area being angled radially inward such that the transition area has a second diameter that is less than the first diameter. An elastomeric seal (146) is disposed within the annular groove.
