COMPONENT RETAINING STRUCTURE FOR CONDUIT FITTING
A preassembly for a conduit fitting includes an annular fitting component and at least a first conduit gripping device. The annular fitting component has an interior wall including an inboard surface having a first diameter, an outboard surface having a second diameter, and an intermediate surface recessed from the inboard surface by an outward facing inboard radial wall and recessed from the outboard surface by an inward facing outboard radial wall. The first conduit gripping device is retained within the annular fitting component and includes a body portion and an annular ring portion having an inner radial portion secured to a rear surface of the body portion, and a flange portion extending radially outward of the inner radial portion to define a projection extending radially outward of an outer circumferential surface of the first conduit gripping device, with an end portion of the projection being axially captured between the inboard radial wall and the outboard radial wall.
Joint unit and method for assembling joint unit
Provided is joint unit having a resin tube, a joint structure, and a nut, the joint structure has a guide part that guides the outer circumferential face of the resin tube, a protrusion that forms an insertion groove between the guide part and the protrusion, and a fixing part that fixes the resin tube inserted in the insertion groove, the tip of the protrusion is located closer to a main body than the tip of the guide part, the nut has a recessed part having an inner diameter greater than a first outer diameter of the guide part and smaller than a second outer diameter of the fixing part, and the tip of the fixing part in contact with the recessed part bites into the outer circumferential face of the resin tube in a state where the nut is fastened to the joint structure.
Joint pipe
A pipe joint allowing reliable connection to a pipe P without flaring. The pipe joint includes a flare joint body 1F, a cap nut 2, and a stop ring 3. A curved pressure-contacting slope surface 32 of the stop ring 3 contacts a slope surface 5 with reduced-diameter tip of the flare joint body 1F under pressure to establish sealing by means of mutual contact between metallic surfaces. The pipe P is grasped in a tightly pressure-contacting state using a back tooth and a front tooth formed at a tip head 37 of a substantially cylindrical thin part 35 of the stop ring 3.
