DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR A REDUCER WITH AN INTEGRATED SEAL
20230058593 · 2023-02-23 · ·

The present disclosure is related to bioprocessing devices, systems, and methods, and particularly to sanitary connections for bioprocessing. The devices, systems, and methods described herein can relate to the sanitary connection of flow fittings, such as reducers, with considerations for ease of assembly and sealing. In some embodiments, the system may include a flow reducer, a ferrule and a gasket. The flow reducer may include a gasket channel, an overmold channel within the gasket channel, and one or more cavities within the overmold channel. The gasket may be overmolded within the gasket channel and extending within the one or more cavities.

Half-ring segment, connection clamp, and connection device

The invention relates to an annular connection clamp with a first clamping flange (22) which protrudes radially inwards and with an axial counter bearing (24) which is spaced from the clamping flange and which is made of a first and a second half-ring segment (20), each half-ring segment having a first and a second segment end. The first segment end of the first half-ring segment (20) has latching means (281) of a first type, and the second segment end of the second half-ring segment has corresponding latching means (282) of a second type, said latching means being pushed into each other in a tangential direction, thereby being latchable together. The second segment end of the half-ring segment (20) has latching means (282) of a second type, and the first segment end of the second half-ring segment (20) has latching means (281) of a first type, said latching means being pushed into each other in a tangential direction, thereby being latchable together.

Pipe coupling
11480274 · 2022-10-25 ·

A pipe coupling arrangement includes two end members, each having a pipe attachment end and a sealing end that engages the other's sealing end. Each sealing end includes radially inner and outer collars, which are radially separated by a pocket. When the sealing ends engage one another the pockets form a chamber. At least one seal member is positioned in the chamber. An alignment ring fits in the chamber, aligning the end members. A coupling pushes the end members towards each other, compressing the at least one seal member sufficiently to seal against fluid leakage. The inner collars engage one another while the outer collars of the end members are axially spaced apart by a gap selected to reduce to zero upon application of a selected clamping force on the end members, thereby limiting deformation of the outer collars.

COMPOSITE CONNECTORS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A method of manufacturing a composite (e.g. fibre-reinforced polymer) connector for a fluid transfer conduit includes: providing a tubular mandrel which extends substantially parallel to a central axis C; providing a former on the tubular mandrel which extends substantially perpendicular to the central axis C; and winding continuous fibre reinforcement, impregnated with a thermosetting polymer, around the mandrel to form a tubular hub portion which extends substantially parallel to the central axis C and over the former to form a flange portion 308 which extends from the hub portion at an angle to the central axis C. Winding the continuous fibre reinforcement over the former includes passing the continuous fibre reinforcement across a first surface of the former that is substantially perpendicular to the central axis C and across a second surface of the former such that the former is encapsulated as a core for the flange portion.

CLAMPING SYSTEM FOR CONNECTING TUBES, COMPRISING A COLLAR AND A SEAL

The clamping system is used to connect a first and a second tube whose facing ends have bearing surfaces protruding relative to their cylindrical external surface. The clamping system has a clampable collar and a seal. The collar includes a belt able to cooperate with the bearing surfaces of the tubes by this internal periphery delimiting a recess into which the bearing surfaces can be inserted. The seal is supported by the collar in the unclamped state of the latter and includes an annular sealing portion which includes a first washer and a second washer fixed to the first washer by retaining lugs carried by the first washer.
