20170307122 · 2017-10-26 ·

A slide valve set in a fluid passage and displaceable in a direction of a longitudinal axis of the fluid passage to open or close the fluid passage, the slide valve being simplified in structure and having a plurality of seal portions. The slide valve includes a cylindrical slide valve body set coaxially with the fluid passage, the slide valve body having an outer peripheral surface, an inner peripheral surface, and at least one through-hole extending through from the outer peripheral surface to the inner peripheral surface. The slide valve further includes a seal member having an annular outer seal portion located over the outer peripheral surface of the slide valve body, an annular inner seal portion located over the inner peripheral surface of the slide valve body, and a connecting portion located in the through-hole to connect together the outer seal portion and the inner seal portion.

PIPE COUPLING
20170307121 · 2017-10-26 ·

A female pipe coupling member includes a coupling body and a sleeve 138 disposed around a cylindrical peripheral wall portion of the coupling body. The sleeve has a locking element receiving hole extending therethrough from an inner peripheral surface to an outer peripheral surface. When the sleeve is in a locking element releasing position where the locking element receiving hole radially aligns with a locking element, the locking element is received in the locking element receiving hole to assume an unlocking position. The locking element receiving hole is configured to block the locking element from passing therethrough radially outward and thus holds the locking element in the unlocking position from outside.

LIQUID FEEDER

A liquid feeder switches a flow path of a liquid having flowed in from an inflow port to one of a flow path communicating with a first base communication port and a bypass outflow path. When a pump is attached to a base, the bypass outflow path is closed to allow the liquid having flowed in from the inflow port to flow to the pump. When the pump is removed from the base, the bypass outflow path is opened to allow the liquid having flowed in from the inflow port to flow from the bypass outflow path to the outflow port. The liquid feeder is able to prevent liquid leakage when a pump of a liquid feeder is replaced or repaired.

Inline connect breakaway hose coupler
09791087 · 2017-10-17 · ·

A coupling including female and male couplers configured to be connected together. The female coupler includes a valve body and a detent carrier surrounding the valve body and having a plurality of circumferentially spaced openings extending through a wall of the detent carrier for receiving detents to connect the female coupler to the male coupler. When the female and male couplers are connected together, the detent carrier is axially movable relative to the valve body by externally applied loads acting on the male and female couplers to cause the male and female couplers to separate. A pressure-balancing chamber is provided to prevent premature separation of the couplers. Once separated, the detent carrier axially moves back and the female and male couplers may be reconnected.

MISALIGNMENT ACCOMMODATING HYDRAULIC COUPLER

The invention relates to a hydraulic coupler. The coupler comprises a male and female coupling, each with a poppet valve moveably supported by an inner surface of a main body of the coupling. Each coupling further comprises a movable connector part in its front end with a spherical rear surface accommodating a spherical connector seat in the main body, where the connector is provided with sealing means between the connector part and the main body of the coupling.

Method and Apparatus for Disconnection of Hoses and Other Conduits
20170219147 · 2017-08-03 · ·

A disconnect assembly for operationally attaching a hose or other fluid conduit to a fluid inlet, and selectively decoupling the hose or conduit from the fluid inlet. In a first locked position, a fluid pressure seal is formed permitting pressurized flow of fluids through the disconnect assembly. In a second unlocked position, the hose or other fluid conduit can be quickly, safely and efficiently decoupled from the disconnect assembly such as, for example, during an emergency or unforeseen crisis. Following such decoupling, fluid is automatically contained and prevented from discharging into a surrounding environment.

CROWN SEAL WITH INTEGRAL SEALING PROJECTIONS FOR UNDERSEA HYDRAULIC COUPLINGS
20170254461 · 2017-09-07 ·

A crown seal for sealing between the body of a female hydraulic coupling member and the probe section of male hydraulic coupling member has sealing projections on or near its outer diameter to provide enhanced sealing effectiveness between the crown seal and the body of the female member and obviate the need for circumferential O-ring seals. In a first embodiment, the sealing projections have a substantially circular cross section and project both axially and radially from the body of the crown seal. In a second embodiment, the sealing projections have a semicircular cross section and project in an axial direction from certain outside edges of the crown seal. Crown seals according to the invention may be retrofitted to female hydraulic couplings of the prior art. Alternatively, the body of the female coupling or a seal retainer or seal cartridge fitted therein may be provided with grooves or contoured surfaces to fit the sealing projections on the crown seal.

EMERGENCY RELEASE MECHANISM FOR FLUID LOADING EQUIPMENT

Each of a pair of couplers includes: a vacuum double-pipe structure main part; a valve seat forming an opening through which a fluid flows; and a valve body in the main part. The valve body is configured such that, when separating the couplers, in each coupler, the body is brought into contact with the seat by a spring to close the opening, and when coupling the couplers, the body of each coupler is pressed by the body of the other coupler to move away from the seat and open the opening. The valve body includes: a holding member holding a sealing material sealing between the body and the seat when the body is in contact with the seat; a resin block covering a distal end surface of the holding member; and a metal operating member accommodating the block and protruding from the holding member to pass through the opening.
